CAS Texture Unitool: 3d view currently not initialised #1 |

Here is a screenshot. When I start the program or select something, the background is blank instead of the default purple and it says on the top right "3d view currently not initialised". I have windows 7, DirectX 11, microsoft .net framework 4.0 client profile and .net framework 3.5 (which includes 2.0). I don't know why 3d view isn't working for me, am I missing something really obvious? Thank you for reading

3d never works in that tab... Add a new design in the Design tab, then the outfit will popup in 3d view. |

Thank you for your response, but I don't think you understood what I meant. It's not that the outfit isn't loading, the whole right 3d screen isn't. From what I've seen in video tutorials, the default purple background (which I haven't tweaked) is supposed to show as soon as the program is opened. I wasn't confused about why the outfit wasn't loading in 3d, I'm confused why the 3d view in its entirety isn't loading at all. |

Try running dxdiag and its tests, you might find out a bit more. It is possible older stuff/games still require directx 9.0C I know i had to install it to make some stuff work http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=159853 |

Everything seems to be enabled and no problems were found, but anyways... TSR workshop works perfectly for me, so I think I'll use that but convert it to .package so no one will have see that hideous icon.  But thanks so much for your help!

It can also depend on what graphics card or chip you have - the 3D view in CTU is not supported by some graphics chips. (For instance, it wouldn't initialise on my old laptop with Intel GMA945 graphics, and there may be others that don't support it.) |
