I notice today that I had a bunch of game-objects in my global file (about 700). the first object pointed to a empty space in my world. The rest pointed to location -20000, -20000 and a square empty game object. CAW would not let me delete the object but I was able to move the objects to another layer and delete them. The world loads and save faster now. I have had a problem with my world freezing when I was playing it. I will test my world to see if this is tied to the freezing problem. |

The freezing is now a widely known issue, it seems to happen without the empty game objects. I'll watch for the empty objects in the future, though. Thanks for the tip. |

It's a waste of time deleting all of them, I tried it when I discovered I had almost two thousand of them. The minute you go into Edit in Game it recreats them. I think they are to do with things like where the carpool stops, etc as we know these things are there but we can't see them. They aren't empty, they are created in EIG for a reason most likely above us mere mortals. |

It looks as thought a game object in the global objects section are the result of deleting a game object in caw. Trees, Lighthouse ect. Deleting objects does not remove them completely it leaves a ghost in the file. I think they are saved in the game package, so they can not be removed. I am not sure if these ghost objects gum up the work yet, but I bet they do. |

Barneythecat, no they're not, they are on the global layer to stop you from deleting them, they are some sort of info the game generates when you go into EIG, like I said above, most likely the spots the carpools stop on etc, go ahead and remove them all, then run EIG and have a look, they'll all be back. I have two thousand or so of them and it isn't affecting my game at all |

I create a new map and was able to create these ghost objects at will. They are created when a game object is deleted. I know this is what is happening becouse I created a new map. Had land, roads, and lots. I then created a game object. No ghost objects, then deleted the object. After I did the delete I had the ghost object. I created another 2 game object so I had three objects two light houses and a ghost game object. I delete one of the Light houses then I had 2 ghost objects. It appears that the in game editor in caw can not completely delete a game object once it is created. These ghost objects seem to be some kind of place holder. I am not sure if they effect the game, but once you create them you are stuck with the ghost object. |

I just know that even after deleting 2000 of them, which took me a full day and night to move to another layer and then delete, going back into edit in game brought them all back. It is a weird one then, I just took it that as they were underground they would be placeholders. I know there are placeholders for carpools and they don't seem to be visible. What I can say for sure is that with 2000 of these it doesn't affect the game play of my world, so they aren't doing anything adverse. My world is done, had masses of lots and is beiong play tested extensively right now, they just don't seem to have any effect at all on it |
