As some of you know, Taure has created sims based off the characters of Batman: Arkham Asylum. I requested that she made Scarecrow, but after asking a few times, I annoyed her(I should've read her policy on requests), so I decided to do it myself. First here's the reference pic I'm using.

http://ve3dmedia.ign.com/images/05/...inRender-01.jpg (Link form due to huge image-ness)

I've made the most progress on his glove so far.

Need to sort out some rigging and texturing issues, but all in all, Dr. Crane seems satisfied with his invention.

I've tried making his mask, but there have been several issues. The most recent one can be found in this thread: http://www.modthesims.info/showthread.php?t=399238

Any help on fixing this would be appreciated as would comments and criticism on the glove.

Yep, and thanks to some help, I got the mask issues sorted out, too! I'll show you after I'm finished(poorly) texturing it.

Thanks ooga booga! Here's the mask now! It's pretty good considering my mediocre texturing and modeling skills.

his mouth and eyeholes as well as the string holding the two parts of his mouth together could use some work, but the actual face texture is looking great, though it's lacking the shadows that give it that angry expression. you're getting better and better at texturing and meshing, try googling metal and fabric textures, just find textures of what it is you're adding and get them as detailed as you can. although perhaps the entire head should be a mesh, I could see facial animations being a problem with a sim like this. can't wait to see what all these meshes look like finished, especially the glove, i'm a sucker for those kinds of things.

Thanks you two. I guess I was just overly critical of my work.

Man, epic suckage! I normally like to save backup files of my textures as files with layers so I can go back and edit them normally, but my computer shut off during the night and I forgot to save! That's total..........poo.

Do you have BV? Because looking at his outfit makes me think of the ninga outfit that comes with that EP.

Yeah, I do. That could work for the pants, although I'll have to either edit or frankenstein the top to get it to be accurate.

Mask update!

The UV map will be tweaked to fix stretchy suckiness.

Ok...something weird's going on. Here it is in-game.

Here's where it gets weird. Look at it in the mirror.

You can see right through the hood, as if the normals are reversed! And that's not all!

You can see it through the rest of the sim! It happens in regular view too!

And finally, at certain points in the mirror...

That's right! The mask disappears! Would anyone happen to know how to fix this plethora of WTF moments?

I have no idea what is going on, but I hope you can get it fixed because otherwise the mask looks great.

I am Ghost. My husband (who made the account because I was too shy) is sidneydoj. I post, he downloads, and I wanted to keep my post count.
