Alright, this isn't like one sim disappearing, it's EVERY sim doing it, I opened the sims 2 game, it loaded, I went into pleasantview, went to play Don Lothario and Dina Goth, who were living together, she was pregnant, had loads of kids, when it loaded no one was there except the dog, Dakota, their food was on the table, like they just vanished, I left the house and went back, still missing, I quit the game, reopened, went into their house, still missing, I went back to the neighbourhood and went into Cassandra Goth and Darren Dreamer's house, no one was there except two of their dogs, the dog's puppies were missing as well, I went back into the neighbourhood, there were only a few families in the family bin, plus two random townies that I did not put in there. Then, I went into the Ottomas' house, it crashed and quit before I could see if they had disappeared too, then I went here and posted this, please help, Pleasantview was my best neighbourhood!!
Also, I checked Cassandra's dog's friends list, the missing sims weren't there, and in the dog's memories instead of Cassandra or the puppies they had, it said "Met $Subject".

Do other neighbourhoods still work?

I just checked all of the Neighbourhoods and everything is gone, including all of the houses. Except in Pleasentview, which has it's houses but all of the sims are gone now, except Goopy GilsCarbo in the family bin.
Riverblossom Hills is the only one that doesn't seem to be affected.
