Just put them in your inventory after painting them, and when decorating the room put them on the walls.

I would like to clear up the little matter of my sanity as it has come into question. I am not in any way, shape, or form, sane. Insane? Hell yes!

People keep calling me 'evil.' I must be doing something right.

While in Renovation Mode, check the Family Inventory. Items from your inventory should be there.

Placing items from family inventory is a bit different than placing them from your personal inventory. Instead of dragging them, you select them by clicking them, and then you should be able to place them on the wall.

And yeah, when you're in renovation mode, any item from your personal inventory that you can use in decorating should show up in the family inventory.

Apparently placing one "custom" item like a painting or sculpture gives a nice bonus to your review score too, and how much you get paid for the job. Just don't use 3000 simoleon masterpieces because those would sell for more in the consignment store than you'd get as bonus.

Does anyone know if the quality and number of self-made artwork matters for the score? (besides the obvious difference in room rating of course)
