 Ambitions "Fog emitter" can show other effects

Posted this over at MATY but figured I should put it here as well. The new fog emitter which can be found in the buydebug catalogue (blue-green sphere in misc category) can display almost any in-game effect. With testingcheatsenabled true, ctrl-shift click the sphere and choose "set visual effect" and just enter the name of the effect. I have attached a text file with what is hopefully all effect names. Not all of them work, and some others only show at night. Short (15sec) example video:  The effects used in this are: bakingdishsteam s30_elecbreakcomputer engagementringglowfxinter ambrosiaplate firepitburning waterfall_1_short waterfall_1_shortsplash They are placed with the geoblending method. EDIT: Text file updated with Late Night effects. |

Shift + CTRL + Click, and the same old Add the ability to add triggers and activated behaviours. Problem is, the waterfalls are horizontal. :/ And you can only switch the effects on and off. So it seems pretty limited. |

I stuck the criminal storm effect over a house and it was noisy! It was also very, very cool. There's no rain, just swirly clouds (it's not quite a tornado, but the downdraft and updraft effect makes you think one is coming) and flashes of lightning. I'm not sure if it was a coincidence or not but the computer broke when the effect started. I wonder if it shorted it out? I used: ep2criminal (swirly clouds) ep2criminalelectricity (electric storm effects) |

Ok... I'm usually a lurker. Been here for the last year+ and have shyly, never posted and instead researched and found all my answers through information and experimentation. But this time, I cannot find my answer and am becoming rather frustrated trying to figure this out on my own. I cannot seem to make this work as a waterfall. I can get the splash bit with waterfall_1_shortsplash, but cannot get an actual waterfall such as in the picture posted by Goggalor. I see he has his emitter located at the top back area of the waterfall mound. I replicated this but then get nothing whatsoever. I feel like a complete noob not being able to figure this out and need to humbly as if someone would be so kind as to offer a tutorial of sorts to help me get this working. *edit* Wait... 10 posts? LOL I don't remember the other 9  *edit #2* Eww, I just thought of something. I was unable to see the fire in the windows when my firefighter is putting out some of the larger house fires. I also wouldn't see the explosions from detonating junk piles and such. It was like I was missing the new animation graphics provided with Ambitions. Last night I removed the NoMosiacHELL file (which I thought was fine since it did remove the mosiac, but saw a post stating some of the issues it makes) and replaced it with the AMB version from here. After which I suddenly saw there are some nice butterflies in CAS when you select the Eco Friendly trait. (Saw her do her little move before.. but not the butterflies.) I assumed this meant I had fixed the missing animations, but I wonder if some piece of CC is borking some more of them... like the waterfall animation. LOL meaning maybe I am doing it right.. and just can't see it. Oi! What a pain. Ok, brb while I remove all cc and try again on a clean slate. (I'm going to feel so silly if this works though.  )*edit #3* Ok.. yes.. I'm a noob. I was using the medium size waterfall. I had typed in waterfall_2_medium instead of waterfall_2_med. This somehow borked it so no other type I tried would work either. I used the reset effect command and this cleared whatever error my mistake created, so now yes... they all work. Hehe so in the end... never mind this silly post :P Thank you though ever so much for this great find, and the list! Oh the possibilities!!!  Snow!!

Wow! I did notice the ability to type in names a while ago, but since I didn't know any of the names I didn't bother messing with it. Glad to see it's been figured out, thanks for sharing! There's actual rain and snow already, not just the thundercloud? I guess that means we have confirmation that weather is most definitely being worked on and hopefully in the next EP! ETA: Just tried the snowfalllinglightday effect, very cool! There are almost 4,000 of them, Zeero 146 pages if pasted into Word. That's why they're in a .rar file. Get WinRAR or the equivalent and you should be able to download it.
