Oooooook, been working on this sim for more than one year, he's basically the reason why I started making my own custom content for The Sims, so I wanted to give him a try here.
Here's my attempt at making Blackie Lawless, singer of W.A.S.P., my favourite heavy metal band. He still needs some fixes, like a different eye make up, but here's what I got at the moment :D
What do you think?

Here are a couple of outfits I'm working on... the everyday one:

...And his classic 80s stage outfit (not finished yet, there's still stuff I have to work on, like improving the waistcoat shape and its decorations):

Another couple of pictures to show the real outfit (that's where I took inspiration for the belts):
http://i29.tinypic.com/21de63q.jpg
http://i28.tinypic.com/2a5abr4.jpg

the 80s outfit includes sawblades on the armbands and on the codpiece, but, since I'm not a mesher, I don't really know how to make those 'painting' them on the outfit wouldn't absolutely be the same, so I left that as it is, for now.

little question: his 80s outfit included bottomless pants, but... is something like that allowed on here? I saw some "bottomless" pants around on MTS, but they never showed the... ehr... full behind of the sim there were always some strips to partially cover it up. So, should I apply a sort of 'censor' to the pants, too?

As far as the Sim itself it looks great, but there are a few things that need to be fixed. The sim is smiling just a bit too much, Needs to be a more flat mouth, basically a more of a frown. Chin is a just a bit too long, needs to be shortened up just a tad. Those are the two main things I can see, and that's just my opinion. Good luck creating! It looks great so far. :D

EDIT: As far as the bottomless pants, censored is better than not on MTS2 as far as I can see because there are kids on here 13+ and so on and so forth.

Thanks! Yep, I noticed about the chin, too, just yesterday and you're totally right about that smile, lol. Working on that with Body Shop right now and I'll see what happens in game =)

...Pleasantview, are you ready for the 1000000th Blackie Lawless test sim?

Just kidding, I love making test sims and to improve them after receiving feedback on my work! But it's true that my neighborhoods have tons of clones of this man walking around, lol thanks again for the suggestions and for wishing me luck!

That's ok, going for the censored version, so, haha :D

Well, actually, Blackie Lawless happens to be my favourite heavy metal singer
I like Motorhead, too, anyway... saw both W.A.S.P. and Motorhead at a metal festival last year (no Lemmy vs Blackie fights, this time, though... they played on different days, lol).

Back to the sim... yep, he looks younger than showed in the pics I posted the fact is that I based the sim off pictures and videos from 1984/1986 (you can see some of them in the outfit references)... unfortunately, most of the pics I used didn't meet the requirements of neutral expression/straight shot/good lightning, so I had to use some more recent pics (late 80s/early 90s) for posting here... I should have pointed that out before, in effect
I wanted to keep that younger look, anyway gonna post an update with different pictures, if I find a better one from his younger days

Oooook, first update!
No artistic pictures or particular poses, this time, sorry
Sticking to the same reference pictures as before, too

Shortened the chin, made smaller cheeks and added the 5 o' clock. I used the Maxis one, though, and I think it's not so light as it should be... might edit that in Bodyshop later =)
I also brought a little down the corners of the mouth, giving him a more neutral expression

... Is it just me, or the mouth needs to be a little less large?

Doing pretty good!

Yes, the mouth seem to be a little too wide and stubble needs to be lighter. The mouth shape doesn't seem to be right (but it's pretty close), upper lip should be more pinched, and lower one less. It might help if you would use some kind of neutral lipstick that would help with that.

His eyelids are bothering me a bit too, they look kinda squashed, and the eyeliner should be smoother.

Also, may I suggest you use an aging mask from here, it would make him look a bit older.

Thanks, mistyblue4!
I've never seen that site before, that's very useful, thanks!!!
You're right about the eyelids, by the way, noticed that just while taking the last screenshot
Planning to work on some new eye make up and a lipstick soon, too! =)

Update!

Here's the list of things I changed:
-Aging mask plus various facial effects added;
-New eye make up... still not 100% sure about it, though. Tried to make an eyeshadow that looked more similar to the one he wears on stage, but his face sculpt makes it looking a bit deformed, so I'll have to figure out how to fix that. Meanwhile, I'm using an eyeliner I made and an eyeshadow by Helaene
-Added some changes to the eyebrows, to make eyelids look less squashed;
-Made a lighter stubble;
-Changed the mouth shape and gave him a new lipstick. I also made the mouth less large, even if looking at this screenshot it doesn't really seem so

heh, woah! That's totally awesomesauce! The only thing I can properly give ffedback on is that I think the hair needs to be a bit more frizzy. (I'm not too good with face sculpts... :p)

EDIT: Oh! Oh! Oh! I think the gap between his nose and mouth is just a tad too long. Thass'all I got.

Aaaw, totally agree with you on the hair, that was the thing that literally drove me crazy. I actually found a perfect hairstyle, here: http://www.insimenator.org/index.ph...c,108944.0.html

...The problem is that it's for female only. A few months ago I asked Bobby, the creator, to make a male conversion of the mesh, he said that he would have worked on it, but he's quite busy with many projects, at the moment, so no conversion yet I thought many times about making the conversion myself (with the right permission, obviously), but I never made a mesh before, and this particular one doesn't seem to be the easiest one to start with, considering all the layers and animations it has

Made some changes to the sim, by the way, but I still have to see how he looks in game... gonna post pictures tomorrow :P

New update! =)

Sorry for delay, I was terribly busy with University and no time to play with the Sims at all

So, here's what I got. It's not *that* much of an editing, I basically left the face structure as it was... but I made some editing on the nose bridge, making it thinner. Probably it wasn't really noticeable from the screenshots, 'cos hair cover it a bit, but the sim had a very large nose bridge, and that was bugging me a lot... so, I went for a bit of surgery
I also edited the distance between the nose and the mouth, just a click smaller, I think. Haven't had any time to take a look at the make up yet, unfortunately

*Me thinks that the new nose is just a tad too long, though*

What do you think?

Woh, thanks! I actually noticed your comment casually, been long time since I took a look at this thread! Even if my project to upload this sim was still there!

Yep, I guess that after some more improvements he's going to be uploaded too! Still need to work on his outfit, though! =)
-Not 100% sure, but now that I'm kinda learning how to manage Milkshape I think I could maybe try to add the infamous sawblades to the outfit!-

Btw, now that the topic is up again, if there are any other suggestions, keep the feedback coming! =)
