So I made this house. I was wondering what you people think of it. Edit- I furnished it and added some landscaping :0 Forgive me, I am not a good furnish-er. Front of House:  Floorplan: 1st Floor:  2nd Floor:  Random Pictures:       This houses could be a starter home... that is if your sim started with about §140,000 -GU0 |

If i were you, i would make a nice flowered garden for the family(change the terrain:-S) and i would furnish it more than this, it looks somehow empty.. |

I like the floorplan, but... THAT is not medium size!! hahaha. It is (a lot) bigger than most of my houses in game!! Anyway, I like the inside parts, but I agree with Vampire that it needs a bit of landscaping. |

The kitchen looks enormous compared to the rest of the first floor plan. If the room you have leading off from the kitchen is the dining room, then I think maybe downsizing the kitchen would be better. Maybe make the "dining room" into a study and halving the kitchen to place the dining room? Otherwise, like Vamp, I'd add a bit more landscaping. |

I really like the layout, and I am okay with it being unfurnished - it would be like buying a real house. Maybe put in some ceiling lamps in the main rooms. But the other posters are right - this house is NOT medium-sized! |

I don't know if it is just the pic you have (first one) but the lot does look very bare. Perhaps a tree or two or a few more flower beds? I love the floor layout, but being that the rooms are fairly big, in my opinion, a few furnishings would be nice. |

Are you planing to furnish the house? Or will you share it unfurnished? I would say that furnishing it a bit is the best idea, as the house is big and it will look empty if unfurnished. Also, I would a place for dining in the kitchen, because as Javier said, it is pretty big. COuld you add text saying which room is what? Maybe it would help us to tell is something needs improvement. |

The house itself is really well designed. However, as has already been mentioned, some simple landscaping would really set it off

Photoshopping in sky and adding the sunspot does not add to the pictures value nor make the house appear to look better. IMO it makes it much too distracting. You also have a very poor angle for that first pic, it doesn't show the roofline at all. Overall the house design looks nice, but your kitchen seems oversized since it is the same size or larger than other main living areas. Consider expanding the den to take up some of the kitchen space, and/or adding some islands would also fill it in and give sims more work space. The master bedroom upstairs should have one of those baths accessible only from the bedroom, as a full suite. If you use the bath in back you could move the wall where the master bedroom door is all the way out to line up with the far right bath walls, then move the door from bath2 to the wall facing the landing. While landscaping remember to use terrain paint to finish it off, when in build mode on an unoccupied lot it is free. |

This house is VERY good.  The pictures do seem somewhat photoshopped, therefore a bit distracting as HL mentioned. I would agree with everyone that said it needs more landscaping - and, I can see this lot being rejected becuase the pictures look a little small. Use printscreen, then crop out any background (much more efficient to do it this way if you have the game running in windowed mode).

Looking at it again with the labels, I would consider putting at least another half bath on the first floor, as it's big and sims will spend a lot of time there... you don't want them constantly trekking up the stairs or crowding the bathroom. Putting it between the kitchen and the den might work, since your kitchen is very big and can afford to lose some space. And yes, decorate the yard! Expensive houses need landscaping!

with the formal dining room your sims are going to spit the dummy trying to use all the chairs, there should be at least one square behind the chairs for them to walk around... and some nice gardens out the back or some play equipment for kids wouls be a nice touch also |

The changes and the new pictures look so much better, nicely done. Since your kitchen is on the large side and it looks like you have two of everything you could rearrange the appliances so sims eat cold food (like cereal and sandwiches) in the kitchen and eat hot food in the dining room. I forget the simmer who used to set up all their kitchens like this but I always thought it was a neat idea. All you need to do is make the stove(s) and a counter for them to set the food on closer to the dining room and then make sure there's free counters sims can prep food and serve near the kitchen table. They'll automatically go to the table that's closest to the counter they set the food on. If you do that just be sure to playtest it to make sure you got it right--you can take a screenshot while you do and post it with your lot as a feature. |

Well, you are a pretty good furnisher, but i was wondering were the house entrance is.As i can see it is in the dining room and thats a very big mistake, the house entrance must always be in a hall that ends up to a living room or in a living-room.Imagine youself visiting your friend's house for first time and while entering seeing a table in front of you instead a sofa..It's somehow odd. |
