I'll try to cover all the pertinent details here. I have EP01/02 and SP01 installed. I was able to play perfectly normally for a couple of days, save files .. no problem. About 2 days ago, any new save games stopped showing up. I deleted the old save games that I wasn't using any more. Now when I start TS3, I only have the option to start a new game. Things I have done so far: Reinstalled completely and totally. Removed all CC. Started new game, saved and returned to main menu (still new game only) Tried restoring a .backup of a save game. Deleted the 4 cache files in mydocs///sims 3. Bypassing the S3Launcher and running TS3EP02.exe straight. .... The game seems to refuse to acknowledge that they may even be save games. I don't know if they're all corrupt (though I put them on a thumb drive and can load them on my laptop no problem, so that kind of lends support to the idea that they are not corrupt.) ... N.B.- Exported Sims and Lots are still viable. I.e. when starting a new game, I can choose any of the previously made households as a family without any issues, inc. those with attached houses. |

Are all these save games using the same 'hood? I've had this issue with various custom towns that the game just doesn't seem to like. |

Riverview... its the only town I really like the layout of. Do you have some theories on why it's doing this in particular? I did a little testing after you made me realise that they were all the same town, I can see saves from Sunset Valley, and can fake in the Riverview saves there, and it works just fine.. it's still annoying but at least I have a way to get to them. The games save alright and *can* be loaded, but this is still an issue I'd like to figure out right proper. |

I couldn't find my problem searching before, but with a little direction (i.e. specifying it down to riverview saves specifically rather than any saves) it seems the problem's been solved. (delete the riverview.world from the installedworlds folder in the mydocs///sims3) |
