Hey guys!

So I was on youtube the other day and I was just watching a few Sims 2 videos, and I came across "Katy Perry Hot N' Cold Simlish Video for Apartment Life" which I watched nearly every day when it came out lol. But I only noticed now that the theatre it shows in the video is awesome! So I decided to make the theatre just like that with added extras!

So here's the theatre that's in the video (sorry if they are a bit blurry, the video wasn't the best quality!):

And here's my version (I made the side buildings look different since I didn't like the look of them in the video and smaller since I'm really focusing on the theatre itself):

In the daytime:

And nightime which I prefer!:

So far this lot has around 7 CC items, which I think isn't bad considering the size of the building. I'm trying to use as little CC as possible (I'm a Maxis-match guy ) I hate using loads of CC so hopefully the number of CC shouldn't be to big at all!

This (hopefully) will be my first EVER upload to Mod The Sims! Interior pictures coming soon since I haven't got to the interior yet And the ground floors of the two side buildings are being used as a convient store and clothes store (already finished, pictures up tomorrow!) while the upstairs of the buildings will be used for the theatre.

So feedback would be nice if you can as well as suggestions and questions!

Okay so far I have the whole building fully furnished except one room one the second floor which I will be using as a mini resturant. There is a stage on the 1st floor with musical instruments so you can bring a band to the lot to play music, and there is a bar near the main doors too. 2nd floor has a mini cinema with a very big screen (wouldn't be a cinema without it!) and an elevator incase the stairs get packed with sims (or if they are very lazy!) And on the 3rd floor is where the bathrooms are. I have used 10 CC items so far and hopefully it will stay at that number.

So here are the floor plans so far:

1st floor:

2nd floor (resturant will be in the empty room on the left)

And 3rd floor:

So what are your thoughts?? Or if there is any suggestions I will be happy to hear them!

I know for definate you don't need Happy Holiday SP (Or is it called Festive Fun?) and Celebration SP since they are the only ones I don't have. These are the expansion packs that are required to play this lot:

University
Nightlife
Open For Business
Seasons
Pets
Bon Voyage
FreeTime
Apartment Life

Stuff Packs:

Family Fun
Glamour Life
H&M Fashion
Teen Style
Kitchen & Bath
IKEA Home
Mansion & Garden

Wow that is awesome, just one point on the outside, on the two end parts (bricked walls each end), there are 3 windows on the upper floor in the video, but you've only used 2, put another window in between each of the two on either side

It's ok, we all laugh-snort occasionally!

Yeah I noticed that while I was building the two side buildings but my main focus was getting the theatre looking the same as it does in the video. I didn't really want to get the side buildings the exact same but now that you mentioned it I might just put a extra window in each to make it look better!

Thanks!

Huh? That's wierd... I have Windows Vista Home Premium and Apartment Life works perfectly on it. I'm pretty sure alot of people who have Vista can run it, it might just be your computer.

And I really can not make this building without Apartment Life so sorry. But thanks for your feedback!

I also have Windows Vista, and I can still run Apartment Life. Maybe I haven't installed all the windows updates or something!?

I love the theatre, by the way! If/when you upload it I will definitely download it, provided my new copy of Mansion & Garden Stuff has been delivered by then..... :-D

I too have Vista and can run AL. My game is fully patched too.

I think this lot looks amazing, Guysim1993. If you've got any shots of the interior that are from a sim's level that would really help see how it will look to players. I don't have any criticisms so far. What type of CC have you used? I like that you've kept it minimal.

Wow thank you very much. I really wanted my first upload to be good!

Yeah I hate using CC in my games. (unless it's maxis-match!) Well these are the links to the CC if you wanna download them now but they will all most likely be included with the lot.

I will let you know the definate list of CC used, because my mind is messed up right now

So ill think I will change some minor stuff right now. I will definately post pics either later or tomorrow. I defintely have sim level screenshots but I cant post them because my internet is really annoying the hell out of me.

Think you need to do another vista update! Never had a problem running AL with Vista!

This is beyond awesome. It's well made and very attractive! Thank you so much for planning to share. The only real suggestion I have is that the red doors on the right and left side of the building look a bit too 'indoor'. I would also highly suggest putting a window between the two AL ones on the brick parts of the building, like it is in the video.

Okay reeeeaaallly sorry about no updates at all but my internet went completely bust but I have a shiny new modem now so everything's back to normal.

So I have taken your advice WWW and put two extra windows on the side buildings and changed the doors to more outdoor-y doors! I have also made minor changes such as more lights on the brown middle column (if you look at the pic you'll understand what I'm talking about!), put tiny awings over all the windows on the second floor of the side buildings. Hopefully I should be uploading it tomorrow or somethime this week!

Here's a pic with the updates! (Sorry about no sim level pics...)
