SAU (Myos) Hair Conversions
In my defense, I tried googling until my head was ready to explode and found mostly the Southern Beauty conversion. There were a few others here and there, none of which were what I'm looking for. Specifically, I am trying to find:
(female) Myos Hair 08 Female Myos Hair 08 Image
And (female) Myos Hair 14 Female Myos Hair 14 Image
I hate to request things from creators, so I would rather get it from someone who has already done it if anyone has run across either of these.
Thank you for taking the time to read my question and any assistance you might be able to offer. I also apologize if my attempt at hyperlinking failed.

Cazy converted the second hair but apparently, she took it down. She still keeps the files hosted at her 4shared account, so I dug around and I think this is the download link.

Thanks to all who have taken the time to read this thread. I realize that it's probably not going to be of much help to a large number of people.

I guess for the first hair, your gonna have to wait till SAU or some other creator converts it. I would say in time SAU might convert since its up and running again.

Here is an updated currently working link to SAU MYOS Hair 14 ALL AGES/GENDERS at 4shared.
SAU-MYOS_fhair14_all-age.rar
Note: The female hair (biggest file size) is the one with the textures. The other three packages WILL NOT work without it. You need to install the female one no matter which one you want to use (until someone decides to pack those textures individually that is).

Thank you! I'd actually practically forgotten about this thread, it's been soooo long, especially without news. I'm just waiting on 08 now, and hoping that if someone does convert it, it isn't too big a file for my computer to handle. That is my favorite sim hair of all time so far.

Myos Hair 14 -- Is this hair available anywhere? The above link only leads you to some journal entries about working on the conversion. It doesn't show anything available for download. I'm not sure if joining that site would even do anything for me. I would love to have this curly hair for male and female Sims. Does anyone know if it still exists?
If not, has anyone seen long, curly rock star hair, like maybe youthful pictures of Robert Plant, or curly Alex Kingston hair, or even fluffy, wavy Minnie Driver hair, or long, buzzy, frizzy hippie hair? This is the kind of hair, shoulder or armpit length, that fluffs out at the sides and bottom, a nice big fluffy shape rather than laying close to the head like all the Sims hair I have seen, curlier than most Sims hair, worn by men and women. Even straighter hair, but thick and wavy or fluffy and airy hair that stands out from the head would work. Not big, lacquered Texas hair, but more wild and flowing like hippie hair or Botticelli hair, if you know what I mean. Stevie Nicks when her hair is not straight would be another example, but without the bangs. Okay, maybe Taylor Swift, for a more recent example. The ones I have been able to find so far are too sleek or too straight. If anyone can tell me where I can find gloriously curly, wavy or frizzy long hair for Sims 3 males and females, if such a thing exists, I would really appreciate it.

Wow! That was quick. Thank you sweetdevil. This hair is a little more highly textured than the Cazy or Missbonbon hair and overrides those textures, but it quite beautiful and available for males, too. It will definitely work for my purposes. Nepomuki's link for the original works, but I can't see any way to download it. Do you have to register for the download page or button to appear?
It would be interesting to learn how to do this, but probably very hard. I'm not sure if I would have the patience. Anyway, thank you so very much!

Nepomuki's link http://missbonbon.dreamwidth.org/12433.html seems to be merely a journal.
Sweetdevil's link http://club-crimsyn.dreamwidth.org/66236.html leads to the Spellbound retexture.
This is the Dave Mustaine of Megadeth page, but the link to the hair doesn't work: http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=478537
Someone on The Sims Forums was kind enough to give me this link, but it doesn't have much of a description. Hopefully this is the original: http://www.4shared.com/rar/uAmrkvwn...owComments=true
Anyone know if Missbonbon has an actual download link somewhere for the original? Is the 4shared link the original hair and available for males? If so, does anyone know if you can have both versions, the original and the Spellbound retexture? Do they work with our against each other, and how can they be safely downloaded and installed? I tend to trust things found here, so it's too bad the link no longer works. And that last link is a little mysterious.

I found out about the file. They opened it and it is the original Cazy file.

Now to get to work setting it up. Can someone tell me what the advantage is between sims3packs vs. .packages? Also, do you know if I can have both textures or will have to choose between them?

There is a download link right below the images in the post... You don't need to register to download from Mediafire.
Generally, you can have more than one retexture of the same hair in your game, but it would probably be best to ask the retexturers about that.
