I apologize for having to ask.
I did read about this issue in the FAQ but I still need a little guidance.

(I have the Ambitions mod that stops the censor from working.)

My sims are ALL wearing bathing suits when they bathe.
I understand this means that it's likely that some CC is mis-labeled and enabled for wearing while nude - but what I dont understand is how to fix that so that they dont wear bathing suits in the tub.

I read about the program for editing packages or installed content - but it implied you needed to know what the offending package was - and I have no idea.
I know the bathing suits are not ones I would have chosen and are not the ones I have selected for them to wear.
I did get some bathing suits from the store for free - it was a beach collection - I suspect they may be the ones I'm seeing but am not sure as most of the CC clothes I have likely came from sims I've downloaded with the exception of that bathing suit package from the store. I really dont download a whole lot of clothes and never (with the one exception) downloaded bathing suits - unless they came on a sim I got from the exchange?

After looking through the .package files as well as the sim pack files - I just dont know which one of those it is so I dont know where to look to learn how to fix it.
I'd gladly just delete the suits if I knew where they were.
Both males and females are wearing them to bathe and I find it really annoying.....

Again I'm sorry for asking. I used to be able to change these kinds of simple things in Sims 1 and Sims 2 (with the help of editing programs)- but I'm still learning how to do things with Sims 3 .

Any help would be appreciated!

From what you describe you might have gotten yourself the Shymoo Outfit. The Shymoo outfit is a recolor of a EA bathing suit that got categorized for just about anything. It also messes up some EA bathing suits.

Uninstall it from the launcher. That's what it looks like:





I would also remove the corresponding package file from the DCBackup folder. The number is: 0xec444a892128e2f64e35fdc00c075eb8.package

You should be careful with downloading sims from the exchange. Most of them have mess-up CC in them. Use Delphys custard tool to check the sims3pack before you install anything. Always use Save file for downloading exchange stuff.

I deleted the 0xec444a892128e2f64e35fdc00c075eb8.package file and went through the installer - tossed every single bathing suit I found. *L*

I will NEVER dl another sim from the exchange - I promise.

About to go see if this rid me of the bathing suits in the tub problem - will post back with results.

Again, I cant thank you enough - I didnt know how to go about finding and fixing the issue even though I had an idea what the problem was!

The shymoo one is not a bathing suit in the launcher. It's a pink top with pant (like shown in the picture). I would uninstall everything that says shymoo or shymoo.com in the launcher.

EDIT: Check this thread if your sim is still wearing the bathing suit after you uninstalled the Shymoo thing from your launcher (check installed content, not Downloads).

I did find Shymoo in the launcher the 3rd time I looked and got rid of it - the package file I found as soon as you told me where to look since putting the file number into the search function on my comp took me right to it. They're both gone now.

I've got surgery in the morning and didnt have time to turn on the game - just cleaned the cache files and tossed anything I even thought MIGHT be suspicious - it might be day after tomorrow or tomorrow night before I'm up to playing. (Not having anything big done but the anesthesia sometimes takes a day to sleep off.)

I'll come right back here once I can see the state of things in the game now that those have been deleted.

i seriously swear there is a trait like this, it's like "despise nudity" or something, it made me lol when i saw it

It made me sit back and wonder at first what the heck was going on since under the pixels I'd noticed no clothing colors - but I did a little bit of downloading that day and must have gotten the shymoo during that - I'll never go near the exchange again. *L*
You'd think I'd have learned better long before now....but no...I needed a reminder.

The day the pixels came off (because I got the mod to remove) them I was shocked that everyone was wearing bathing suits - even the men.

Since it was every sim - I knew it meant I had an issue.
In my sims 2 game I had anatomically correct nude replacements that were absolutely hilarious.
I've not found any yet for sims 3 - sadly.
I was thinking there used to be a section for adults only on the old modthesims but it's been a while and my memory isnt what it used to be either.

(The erect penises on the replacement skins were most especially hysterical in sims 2 - and at my age you take your laughs where you find them.)

I think the Shymoo can be found on every other sim in the Exchange. So can nude cloth and the Vampire Shirt called New CAS in the launcher.
