I can't find any clear instructions on how to go about extracting the in-game patterns.
I found this thread where the topic was broached:
http://www.modthesims.info/showthread.php?t=357754
But didn't find any clear answer as to how to go about getting the textures... I see mention from Delphy about the CTU pattern browser, but no clear instructions on how to get to the pattern once I've found the name of it with the pattern browser...
I just want to export the textures and use gimp to turn the DDS into a png or bmp, so I can use them as fills in my recoloring projects...
Any ideas on where I should start?

Can't you access them with the use of s3oc?

My new world is now available on my own site.prettysims.com

Thanks so much for the reply!

If I can, I don't know where to find them... One of the first things I did was fire up s3oc, and what I find under the cloning menu is 'wall/floor patterns', which doesn't give me all the patterns I'm looking for, just the walls and floors (no fabric/geometric/abstract etc.)... Am I missing something?
