yes, again with the roofing I started this house awhile ago but the roof is slowing me down. I HATE starting the inside when the outside is not done.(pay no attention to anything but roofs please as things will probably change. )This roof has been a pain in the rear. What I am trying to accomplish, is roofed patio's (at the front door, the big round area at the back on the left..(the round part), and a dining patio at the back on the right). I want the roofs above these, to be one single roof wrapping around the house, so I made the second floor up with dormers. I'm just not too sure if this is working or not. On one hand...it looks very unique (maybe??) and on the other hand...feels VERY off. Actually annoying me but I don't know why? Did I mention I don't like roofs to much. I keep making akward houses to challenge myself and then give up. I don't want to give up on this one.

Did you try making it flatter (the round part) and getting the point to be under the other roof, so it is not showing. |

That is as low as I can slope the round roof. Actually you can't slope round roofs, I had to use the "delete roofs, re do roofs" trick to accomplish the slope, thats as far as it'll go. When I slope the other roofs higher, they go over the windows. I just tried sloping the wrap around bottom roof a little less and added some more windows. Does this look better or worse?? |

Is there something about the color that you feel is wrong sometimes a color change is always good I would say the large roof is getting you stuck |

open the cheatbar (shift+ctrl+c) and type in: roofslopeangle x (x= a number between 15-45) and hold control and click on the roof you want to have that angle, maybe that works

This cheat I am aware of. I'm not sure if maybe I'm missing an ep that you have but sloping doesn't work on round roofs at all for me. It will work on every other one but those.lol. So I am stuck working the other roofs around the round one ![]() Again, when I slope them higher to match the point of the round one, all my windows (and the whole second floor) gets overcome with roof. I lowered the roof (using the cheat you suggested) in my previous pics...not sure what else I can do to improve it?? | |

I think if you change the shape of the second floor you'll be able to come up with a better roof. I didn't actually try this in game though so I can't be sure but I attached a pic to help explain what I mean. Try creating two 4x4 boxes in corners that you roof separately. You should be able to create a diagonal roof line with the hipped roof that looks really sharp. It should also help break up some of the roofing on that side which I think looks a little too thick and the angle too high considering it's again a wall. G'luck with your build.

Honeywell, I tried your suggestion but the roofs on the end didn't meet up right no matter how I tried. It was hard to extend, I think because I have to use dormers to make up the second floor (I want the wrap around roof to be seemless, this seems to be the only way??) I have been fiddling around with this for some time now NOTE: I can only accomplish the two different hights. I also added some more space (as I liked the way it looked after I tried to accomplish what Honeywell suggested). Does it look any better? Which one looks better, the tall round roof or the short round roof. OR Should I just scrap the whole round roof and make a interesting patio??? Oh and I do realize I will need to move those posts

Short round roof for sure. The only problem I see is that the columns are sticking out the top. Also, you could make the roof out of floor tile and make that to a point, but I really like the short roof. |

The tall one looks very awkward, but the short one looks great. |

So the roof for me was just not working right. I didn't like how the wrap around didn't look even so I re did it with a different floor plan upstairs. Does this look better? Don't look at the outside landscaping as it is most likely going to change a bit. Just need some opinions on the build part ![]() I'm also unsure of what colour I want the house, I seem to use grey and white a lot so if there is a colour you think would suit it, let me know. Thank you. |

Im thinking you almost have it, but the columns on the end of the round roof need to be moved a little closer to the edge of the roof, or does it poke through when you do that? |
