I've made a bunch of sculptures cloned from the 'Measure of a Sim' model. When I open up my Anygame-full game, they won't place 3 to a counter or even go on the Apartment Life shelf like the Measure of a Sim sculpture will. I've tried the Mini-Tutorial: Batch-fix Custom Objects to make them *placeable on OFB shelves* and the instructions in post 4 of the above referenced thread for manually changing the shelf size, but no matter what I do, my sculptures cloned from the 'Measure of a Sim' will not place more than one to a surface. I've attached just one of them.. I've opened a clone of the 'Measure of a Sim' model and went through comparing all the coding I could think, and I just can't figure out why my tiny statue won't move around on the surface with the 'm' key like the sculpture I cloned will. I apologize in advance if this is a redundant question, there's no 'search this forum' option available in the forum tools, and when I clicked 'advanced search' I got a 'this feature is turned off' message. Any information anyone is willing to provide will be greatly appreciated! |

I think this is because you in fact have not done the fix described in link you mention. The fix requires you to update the OBJDwiki, 0x004F (now labelled "Object Size (quantity per shelf)") which is found in section Mesh & Graphics (see OBJD#RAW_Data_-_Mesh_.26_Graphicswiki) to contain the value 0, 1 or 2. Your object still has the value 0x0096 in that field. Try putting the value 2 in that field and see whether that helps? If that doesn't work, there may be others things that are needed as well, but from your description, I *think* this might be all that is needed to fix it. Try it out and let us know how it goes ![]() Cheers Mog

Thank you for the reply! I did follow the OFB shelf placement batch fix, and saved the file as a different file name, but posted my original unmodified object here since it didn't work. That is to say that in the full game, batch-fixing the shelf placement allowed me to place multiples of the object on OFB shelves, but did not fix allowing me to place multiples of the object on counters, etc. I think I may have stumbled across an explanation for this problem here: CHANGING THE OBJECTS PLACEMENT But my first read-through left me very confused... Thank you again for the reply! |
