Just clone it in object workshop the same as any other object, then do your thing with the mesh.

They are in the Other category, but if you don't have that you you need to enable Advanced mode in preferences.

Yes, it needs a new GUID. You need to get it from the SimPE GUID Database- not from SimPE itself. Log into the database, there is a tab/link with "register new object" or something like that on it. (Sorry if I sound vague- I haven't been getting much sleep lately.) You name your object, click register and a GUID will be posted. Copy it and paste it into the GUID field in the OBJ in SimPE.

Actually you can reuse any GUID you have used for objects. Fences and objects may share the same GUID. But two fences cannot share a GUID and two objects cannot share the same GUID. But you don't need to get a GUID just for a fence. I keep an excel spreadsheet with all my objects and my GUIDs, to keep track of ones I am going to reuse, use and which ones to use for fences.

Fences do not have the OBJD to get a GUID with either, it is listed in the fence.xml resource. However the Resource plugin has a little button to "Fix Fence" which will make them base game and change all the little fiddly resources.

SEE! Told you I was tired. Levini, if you listened to me...sorry about that. I knew where to get the GUID, forgot all about the OBJD and that you use the fence.xml.

I forgot all about reusing a GUID, too. Mainly because I have no idea which ones I don't "need" anymore for whatever reason. Guess that would be a good weekend project for me..going through my good meshes and making note of which GUIDs I can reuse, lol.

Thanks for correcting me and adding to my post, HL.
