So I decided to patch my sims 3 games (ambitions, world adventures, high-end loft stuff) everything was going well until a patch for a different expansion started to download. The patch was canceled because the sims 3 game launcher was running in the background.

now whenever i ope the sims 3 game launcher i get a message that says: "your the sims 3 base game is not compatible with the current sims 3 expansion pack. please update your game via the game launcher" but it the game launcher says my game is up to date? how do i fix this???

This one comes up a lot. I've had it before, and so have many others. Read this FAQ and see if that helps.

nope, it displays version 4.3.4.008001

theobsession, are you saying that you followed the FAQ's instructions to uninstall and reinstall the EADM and it didn't work? In that case...

Copy and paste the first line of the skuversion.txt from the following locations, for whichever games you have:

Well, your game versions are definitely out of alignment. Sorry that reinstalling the EADM didn't fix the issue. You should be able to fix this by patching manually. You're on a Windows machine, I assume? Go here and download the region 1 patches for patch 1.15.34, patch 2.10.5, and patch 3.6.6: Game_Help:TS3_Patching:Patch_Download/Current^wiki
