Hi! I am hoping for some assistance. I have downloaded Sunni9676's Medieval Maternity Replacements , but because I am running a Victorian themed 'hood I decided to replace the .png textures in the skin files with some more Victorian-ish looking textures.

I opened the original texture packages in SimPE and imported .png's of the Victorian textures, but I ended up with this result:

As you can see, the skin looks fine on my pregnant sim but the body skin has gone completely black underneath.

Just wondering for some hints as to what might have gone wrong?

Thanks for any help!

If you imported a .PNG of with a transparent background, then I think you used a DXT setting that did not support transparency. I've done this before as well. It's easily fixable. Just open the package, right click on your textures, and select "Build DXT",. Make sure it is set to something that will allow transparency (DXT 3 should work here) and that the Sharpen is set to none. The resulting image should have the transparent background. Hopefully that will work for you

What kalynn06 said.

Also, make sure your *.png file actually has transparent areas. If the areas that are supposed to be transparent are black, no amount of fiddling with the "Build DXT..." settings is going to help.

Thanks so much, both of you. I suspected the importing procedure was what had gone wrong. When I tried to import, the "Build DXT" option was blanked out, so I just imported with the default SimPE settings.

I'll have to see if I can get "Build DXT" working, or otherwise I might be back for more help!

Thanks!
