MAC OSX 10.6.4

I am running OSX 10.6.4 with Ambitions, World Adventures, and Late Night installed. It loads the .Sims3Pack files fine. However, it does not load any of the .package files.

This is where I have saved the files: Documents/ Electronic Arts / The Sims 3 / Mods / Packages

I do not have any hacks. I deleted all of the cache files. The resource file as you can see is there. I think it is in the correct place, and it is the latest resource.cfg file. I really am not understanding as to why this is happening. It worked perfectly fine in Windows, so I am not sure what I am not doing correctly.

GAME VERSION: 6.0.81.009001

Also the downloads are just hair, makeup, furniture (no mods).

What I find odd is the location of your Documents folder. It's on the top level together with Applications and your System folder. Maybe that's the reason for your problem.
When I look at the path to my folder it's Macintosh HD/Users/(user name)/Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3/...
Yours looks like Macintosh HD/Documents/...
This is definitely not the default location and I don't know whether this will work at all.

I have no idea how you got that Documents folder where you have it, but as babele said that's not correct. I suspect it's not working as it may be a rogue folder and not really connected to your account.

Move your Mods folder and Resource.cfg to Users/username/Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims3

I don't know honestly. Someone had told me to download the framework for MAC, and it saved the files there. I moved it, I'll let you know if it works. Thank you.

Yes, it still isn't loading them properly. It's just a few hairs, clothing and makeup. Around 25 files. I even tried one file, nothing shows up. Not sure what else could be wrong?

Hi! I don't mean to hijack the thread, but my problem is essentially the same. My .package files are located here --

/Applications/The Sims 3.localized/The Sims3.app/Contents/Resources/transgaming/c_drive/Program Files/Electronic Arts/Sims 3/Mods/Packages

I used one of the installation helper threads I found somewhere on this forum, and followed all the instructions. The files aren't disrupting gameplay at all, but that's because they aren't doing ANYTHING to gameplay. Thoughts?

ETA: I'm moving them over to the suggested file to see what happens. I'll keep you posted.
Edit 2: It did absolutely nothing.

adaptation - Can you please create your own thread? We prefer to keep individuals' issues separate. It's easier to troubleshoot that way.
