I have 3 sprinklers, a faucet and a bathtub broken and the computer blows every time Daisy touches it. What gives???

You may have inadvertently spawned a testing object which does this, if everything breakable is breaking any time anyone touches it. Have you by any chance had boolprop testingcheats on and right-clicked on a sim, maybe to spawn the tombstone of life and death or to make someone selectable? Unfortunately, the object in question seems to be invisible, and the two times I've done it (I am curious) I was only able to fix it by moving everyone out. I hope someone else has a better fix for you.

Does she have a 0 or 1 sloppy stat? I've had a few characters who've had stats like that and they seemingly broke computers just by looking at them. Each time they'd sit down at the computer, it'd break afterwards. I had one that broke three computers in quick succession when I just kept replacing it through the buy mode instead of having her repair it.

Yes Sunbee, I was trying to fix an orphan pregnancy and used the boolprop testing cheats....I probably spawned something. I could move them out but do I have to level the house or can I move them back in?

There SHOULD be a way to make it go away, but I can't recall precisely how and I don't have access to the Sims at the moment. I think, though, that if you Shift click on the Sim with testingcheats on (boolprop testingcheatsenabled true), then either under the main menu or under the Spawn menu, there should be something similar to "Break All Objects (on/off)." Clicking on that should fix the problem, if that IS the problem.

I really don't know. I never needed to use the lots involved again, and therefore did not try. I don't have those neighborhoods anymore, either. Unless you've got a backup from before, I guess it's experiment time?

ok, this IS the prob with me. cause i hit shift and clickied her... YAY I UNDERSTAND SOMETHING!!!

now i just gotta figure out what i spawned and erase it?

or if i move her out will it fix it and her?

can i move her back in? or do i have to kill the lot? i really kinda like this lot...

somethingelse, you need to evict the family to destroy all the objects on the lot.

Most likely you spawned the break inducer- now you need to spawn the break suppressor.

i'm going to try and find that break supressor thingy, cause i really like this lot. i'd love to be able to tell ya'll if it was just this lot, or just HER, but right now she's at uni academe le whatever the hoity toity one is, and it's hit or miss if the community lots i send her to will load or not, the lounge will, the coffee shop will, and one of the sets of shops will. the student center wont, and the library wont. they both dump the game.

wish me luck. i'm dragging the computer over to my grandfathers so i can sim while i make him chilli and cornbread. he has no net conection.
