I am trying to finish up a lot, but at the last minute decided to remove a pattern I no longer wanted. So I went back and unistalled the patterns from my game via the Launcher. But now I'm loading my lot and the walls where the pattern used to be are all stark white, not the fugly dark grey dry wall default color. I tried selecting a default premade wallpaper in Build Mode, and as soon as I touch the paintbrush to the wall the game crashes to desktop.

I don't know if the pattern (forgot which one it was) was bad, but how could it have been, if I unistalled it and THEN got this wierd white wall? And I had deleted my cache files right before I loaded my game up again and got the white walls.

What can I do to fix this, please? It's done this three times already, and I'm at my wit's end.

I suggest bulldozing/deleting that section of wall and rebuilding it.

SH!T!

(Calmed down) Okay, I'll try that, but just in case, if I do that and the game still crashes, then I'll know I have a serious problem. But that might just work! Thanks; I'll be back with an update soon

Generally, when you remove something from your game when you aren't in the game, when you start the game again, the item will be replaced with a base game default. However, I'm not sure why it would make your game crash when trying to recolor it. Perhaps, in the future, it would be best for you to remove any uses in the game, before you remove the item from your game

That's what I was thinking, like when sometimes removing things on Sim dolls with Custard crashes the game :\ I was sitting here loading my game thinking, hrmm, you know Mur, that MIGHT have not been smart, deleting it from the Launcher before you deleted it from your game, you dumb wench! Now look what you've done, you've gone and broken your whole game!

I couldn't demolish the walls, so instead I'm backtracking, and I loaded up an older version of the lot with the unwanted pattern still in it. I'll go in manually this time and try to remove it and see what happens. Urgh.... If not, then I KNOW I've got messed up CC lurking about.

I know cutting corners is immoral, but by GOSH does it save time! Stoopid frakking Launcher >_<

I just wish we had some sort of scanner like the Dashboard that could scan faulty Sims3Packs the same way Delphys' scans packages!
