I'm a noob at object creation so i started off with something easy.
First, I cloned and scaled the windows to make them much larger.

Then I edited the 4 wall-cutout image files and saved them.

Then I exported the files to my game.
Is there a step I missed or something?

Because the first time I place them, the windows looked perfect but after a restart, windows that were previously placed and then saved in-game became streaked.
If I try to select, move or delete them, the game crashes.

Any ideas how I can fix this?
Is it a problem with my texture files?

Thanks for your time!

The wall masks need to be saved as DXT1 with 1bit alpha. See this thread http://www.modthesims.info/showthread.php?t=423496&c for more details.
