My businesses are losing rank when my sims don't go to them. They could go to the business one day and get the rank up to 10. For the next real couple of days, I could play several other families, and possibly that family, but not have them go to their business. Then, later when I play them, I'll have them check their business info on the computer, and see that the business rank has gone down to 9, even though they have not visited the business and there is no way customers could have lost stars. Is this by design or is it a bug? Does it have something to do with other sims going to the business as customers to purchase items?
