I have very big family in my game, my Klan has 35 members and 5 generations. Four of members are dead. And I have problem with Family tree. With such a large family it's very hard to find out who is who. When Sim dies, game deletes his connection with his wife\husband, and you have to click on their kid to see second parent. I also don't like the fact, that when I click on a parrent with adult, married child, I don't see wife\husband of this child. Is there any way to force the game to show more details in the family tree? I would like to click on a parrent and see his wife\husband (even if they are dead), his kids, their husbands and wifes and kids. I could use even whole screen for family tree, but with as many members of the family as possible. Maybe there is mod or something? It gets harder and harder to find out who is who in this family. |

There is an option (it is in testing however) in Awesome mod that allows for dead sims to keep their connections after death. Otherwise the game just assumes they no longer exist in the family. It's worth a try if you are really concerned. You can download it here: http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/s...ic,15185.0.html And make a custom Awesomeconfig and then set the post death family setting to enabled and then right click on the dino at the bottom of the list and save as in the same spot where you have the Awesomemod file installed. I've attached a picture to show the setting. |

I wonder, if there is a way to configure awesome mod to do nothing, but changeing family tree. I had Awesomemod some time ago and i really don't like this mod. Game runs very slow after installing this mod, an it's often crashes. So I decided to never use awesomemod again. I don't know if I should risk game problems for one additional option in game. I use 5 or 6 mods of NRaas Industries. If there was a mod called "NRaas Family Tree", I would install it with no questions asked. The Sims 2 had much better family tree, than The Sims 3. The tree should be loaded completely with everybody connected. If the window would be to big, there would be the sliders. If i could create mods... |

If you go through the awesome mod config tool, you can basically turn everything off yourself and only have the family tree option on, if you wanted. I'm sure that would work. |

I'll cheack it out. But still there should be mod specialy for family tree, where all members of the family would be visible after clicking on any member of the family. Maybe one day someone will writte something like this. Mabe generation EP will change something in family tree. Thank's for help. Let me know, if anybody knows any mods, that can do something with family tree. :D |

I know this post is old but I was wanting something similar because I wanted to see the genealogy of my townie sims that I had created. Nraas's Master Controller has this function built in and is exported as a .xml file that can be renamed as a .ged file and read into a genealogy program or web app. I just found this function and my town isn't real old so I can't say how far back it will go or anything but if you exported it every so often it should give a full picture of relationships over time. The description of the function on his site can be found here. To do the export in game click a sim > nraas > master controller > basic > export genealogy. This will do an individual sim, but if you want the whole town do it at the city hall. |

Feeling like a bit of a chat about creation or just... whatever (not necessarily sims)?
