What does everyone think of these pic's ?? They were from a lot I downloaded from EA's site called Twisty Twirl Spacestation ; by GameMasterEvertB, in 2005.
I didn't know this was possible....I tried to create my own using the creator's instructions via the story on his simpage; but it didn't work. Maybe there was more to it and I missed it.
He or she said to place a large brick foundation, then go to ground level.
Then, using 'moveobjects on', put a ground-level hot tub inside the foundation and move it around, then your terrain will be erased; leaving an empty blue space that acts like terrain without the actual thing.

There's an array in the lot package which controls whether the ground level is visible or not. This is clearly just a glitch in the game which sets the ground to invisible. It should be fairly simple to produce similar results with the GridAdjuster, since it sets the ground level to invisible inside of any no-slope basement. If you asked the GridAdjuster to create a no-slope basement for the entire lot with the standard elevations for each level, I expect that you'd get something like this. Of course, it never occurred to me to try it...

You're right. I did that once by accident, it creates an infinite gaping hole where the ground should be. But I'm not sure about the blue because I didn't have the whole lot selected.

The blue color is just the sky showing through the invisible ground.

FYI: You should also be able to fix this problem with the GridAdjuster. If you specify that you want to remove a no-slope basement, it will set the ground back to visible.
