I wish to have a blog for myself - mainly because I write fan fiction - and I've been looking through them for the past two days now. I've narrowed my choices to Dreamwidth, blogspot and wordpress. Still, I have no idea which of those is the best one. I kind a like Dreamwidth but the other two doesn't sound too bad either. I would really appreciate any helpfull comments and tips because right now I'm pretty much hitting my head against a wall. (I'm sorry if this should have gone into Media Center. I wasn't sure.) |

Mine is on Blogspot. I much prefer it over LiveJournal just because I found Blogspot easier to use. |

I love wordpress. I used blogger and a lot of the "journal" sites when I was younger, but I think wordpress is the best free host out there. A company I worked for uses wordpress (though they obviously have a paid domain) and I use it for all my blogs, including my sim legacy. You can have as many blogs as you can register on wordpress. I have three under one account and two under another since I keep my sim stuff separate from my real life. If you have any specific questions about wordpress, I'd be happy to help. I know it pretty well. |

I used to have my blog on dreamwidth but then I moved to blogger. I highly recommend Blogger over it. Blogger is so much easier to use than dreamwidth. Also is terms of users (pretty much the point of blogs right? to get stuff read) Blogger has more. I noticed a significant boost in comments after I switched. |

Dancehallsim... why does it say on the wordpress page that you have to download the latest version of Wordpress? I haven't seen other blogs requiring you to download something. Robodl95... do you know how Blogger regards mature content? I mean fan fiction ratings go up to NC-17. I know Dreamwidth allows them. Also, is it possible in blogger to have a seperate page for each chapter? I've seen this in Dreamwidth but couldn't confirm it when it comes to blogger. Extensa5420... interesting idea.

There is an adult content thing to display a warning - I'm assuming that they're okay with it then. You can have a separate page for each chapter. |
