[tutorial] Creating Vampires and Celebrities using AwesomeMod! #1 |
| Foxen |
Sorry if this isn't the right place to post, I'm never sure. Anyway, for the past two days I've been going nuts using Google-fu to try and find a way to cheat and create vampires. To save someone else the trouble, I've decided to compile my findings. As many of you may or may not know, AwesomeMod (from now on AM, don't confuse with the EP) story progression does not create new Celebrity or Vampire sims in your game, even if there are none. Thus, to start on a non-Bridgeport neighborhood, if you have AM, you would have to disable it or transfer over a few vamps and celebrities. With this method, you can simply turn a few random townies! Assumption: I'm assuming you have AM installed. If not, go get it. I'm also assuming you know how to open the console (CTRL+SHIFT+C). Vampires:
Celebrities:
And just because I'm in a good mood, here's how to un-do: Vampire:
Celebrity:
After you're done, open the console and type ->setconfig enabledebuginteractions false<- to turn off the cheat. I hope this helps someone. Also, just so the more savvy of you can laugh at me some more, the config tool for awesome mod specifies the values for debug interactions as Enabled and Disabled. The game prefers true or false. : ( |

Further to Foxen's excellent post: For those who choose not to use a Core-Mod, you can unlock the EA interactions that Foxen mentioned using DebugEnabler. If you wish to set "Celebrity Level" or "Occult Type" en-masse (ie: remove the celebrity level off everyone in town in one interaction), you can use MasterController (via the City Hall or Computer menu). Both those mods are available via my signature. Cheers.

Thanks twallan! I didn't mention your mod because I have no experience with it, sadly, but thanks, again, for chiming in. |

I also found a way to create vampires in-game that can be interesting for those who want to at least half play out some story: With MasterController you can use the intermediate options to apply a moodlet to any Sim (both active, non-active and non-playable). Choose the "bitten" one and any Sim you applied this to will be turned into a vampire after 2-3 days, almost legally so to speak. Be warned though, this is irreversible. Removing that moodlet afterwards will only result in an instant turning and not a healing. So, what I do from time to time is to apply the moodlet to some mixologist or bouncer or neighbour or whatever and then use the Moodlet Manager reward object on them just to watch them turn on the spot in front of my eyes. Something similar can be done with the mummy curse moodlet, although removing the "Cursed" moodlet afterwards will heal the curse instead. Applying a moodlet to a Sim can also be done with DebugEnabler or AM's debuginteractions. |

You, sir, are my hero. I was just starting a new game in SV and trying to get things set up the way I wanted them. You just saved me HOURS of wading through pointless threads to get the answers I needed. Thanks! |
