Basic info:

I have Late Nite and Ambitions, no other expansions or stuff packs. All copies installed from disc and patched to latest version. I'm running OS X 10.6.6. I use the launcher for installing/uninstalling .sims3packs and launching the game.

The problem:

None of my .sims3packs are appearing in-game. They're from various sources, including the sims store, so I don't think it's an issue with .sims3packs themselves. The launcher still shows them all as installed, but if I load a saved game, I get the "missing objects" error message and they're not in my lots or in the catalog. Package files appear just fine.

I haven't installed any new custom content since the last time the game was working fine, although I may have *used* some new custom content in my last save.

Things I have tried that haven't worked:

- Deleting cache files and restarting.

- Uninstalling/reinstalling all .sims3packs.

- Running without custom content, quitting without saving, and running with custom content enabled again.

- Deleting recently used custom content from my lots in case that's the problem, saving, and restarting.

- Removing all package files, deleting caches, and restarting the game.

I've had different problems with CC recently and had to reinstall the game, which is a huge hassle. I'm willing to do it again, but I'd like to figure out what the problem is so it doesn't just keep happening. Any ideas?
