Is there someplace I can download Strangetown in it's original form? My original neighborhood has been the center of a long running story that I wrapped up some time ago. In an effort to refresh and revisit the story, I was wondering if it would be possible to get the original neighborhood and keep the one that had my story going. Essentially, I want a Sim to "travel back in time" and change the events that have occured in the town. Is there a way I can do this without reinstalling the whole thing? |

You can just regenerate the neighbourhood. To do this, you need to remove everything from your EA Games/The Sims 2 folder in My Documents - if you want to keep your downloads and copies of neighbourhoods, you need to put these files and folders somewhere safe for the time-being (i.e. move the folders, don't delete). Run the game - it will regenerate all the original neighbourhoods - Exit. You can then replace neighbourhoods you want to keep and downloads and any other files/folders you want/need. You'll find, of course, that your old Strangetown and the new one have the same folder and file names. This means one of them will have to be renamed before you put them both in the same Neighbourhoods folder (and this is also true for any other existing neighbourhoods where you want to keep a second copy). I'm pretty sure the full and comprehensive instructions for this are on this site's help pages. There are some things you need to look out for, like renaming all the files inside a neighbourhood folder with the same number code. |

I think it's better for you to download fixed version of Strangetown on MATY. Original Strangetown has problems with characters' DNA and memories and such. http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/s...pic,4306.0.html |
