Okay, y games working pretty well now...except for one thing. Every time I go to click a sim it takes 5-10 seconds for the menu to pop up. I have no idea why. I'm guessing that its custom content related...I am hoping that someone here on these forums might have had the same issue and could possible shed some light on to just WHAT type of custom content is doing this or on to how to fix it... I don't really lag while playing unless it's a big map like bridgeport, and even then it's minor, everything else seems to function perfectly fine, clicking on objects is perfectly fine, it's only when I click on a sim that I get this lag... |

My first suspect would be anything with an interaction menu? Troubleshoot that way (the above-linked FAQ). Then when you confirm CC is the culprit (ie after step#3, issue disappears), follow this guide to find the outdated/incompatible content: Game Help:TS3 Finding Problem Custom Contentwiki with the 50% method. |

I have the same issue as well. The game runs well except when clicking on sims. I think it is related to some damaged cc in sims3pack format but my dccache folder is over 1.5G large so it is difficult for me to sort things out. |

Noel, the first thing you need to do is to actually determine if the CC is causing this issue. To do that you need to follow the Problem guide, as linked in ellacharm3d's post.

I think it's the patch I had to download with generations that's causing the lag. I uninstalled generations (but not the patch since I can't do that) and the problem is still there. Funny thing, it's the CC from the EA store that seems to cause a lag. |

I'm having the same problem, and I agree that something from the EA Store is causing it. It works fine with the various game mods I use from Nraas, and my non-EA CC, but as soon as I install EA stuff, the lag appears. |

It's definitely the store content. Only the EA store content cause this lag. I'm chatting with an EA person right now to figure this out. Everything they've said to do, I've already done. The re-queued me to level 2, whatever that means. I'll post the solution if I ever get one. |

@Citizen Cobalt, if it is caused by Sims3Packs, either Store items or not, means it has a packaged Pattern that is corrupted. If you need help in troubleshooting your game issues, please make a new thread. As OP never revert on this, I'm gonna assume issue is now resolved, and locking this. |
