I just had this problem my game, I was finishing the download of the most recent patch. I downdloaded it from the launcher, and it took me 3 hours to download it. I was very exited because I would be able to properly install Generations, that I had bought earlier this day. It finished and as usual the launcher re-opened, but an error message appeared, saying that the base game wasn't compatible with my current EP, which is Late Night, and that I should update the game. At first I didn't knew what was the message talking about, because I had just updated my game, so I ignored it. But when I clicked the Play button, the message appeared again, saying the same thing. It's very annoying and especially frustrating, as I've already bought the Generations EP. If the game doesn't work again, I'll have wasted more than $40 for nothing! I don't know what to do! Please answer!!

Install Generations. It's not working because you patched the basegame, but didn't patch LN - however, if you're about to install Gen, you don't need to patch LN anyway.

Actually, only Late Night got patched. Base game and the other expansions kept the same version number. That's why I don't want to install Generations yet.
