Hi, I have tried to do the custom content thing for a while now and I can't seem to get it right. One house I installed was a Sims2pack file and that worked, but all the others did not. I read through the FAQs 3,183 times. Please help!

So I downloaded the rar file and the message would pop up and I would open it with WinRAR and try to extract the file to the download file in my documents. I do this because I can't save it for some reason.
Then when I double click on the downloaded thing it 1) has a blank icon next to it and 2) that message pops up where it says something like, "windows cannot open the file, do you want to find it online"

So I'm stuck and would appreciate any help, thanks!

You don't have to double-click on a package file - you just put it in My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Downloads and that's it.
