Sorry if posting in wrong section just thought since vampires are late night...

I was just browsing the GameplayData code to try learn modding and I found some peculiar code under BuffHeatingUp which I think implies that, after Pets is released, you can have vampire pets. Here's the code I found:

That's just the standard way that they list valid "species" of Sims in all those kinds of entries. It would be cool, though. But I severely doubt it'll happen.

Well it has only just became Standard. Last time I looked at a broadcaster (way back on patch 1.18 admittedly) it didn't define species, so I assume that this stuff has been added in preparation for Pets.

Probably doesn't mean you can make Vampire Dogs if they put it in though, as broadcasters are something completely different, although I can see dog whistles being a good pet broadcast! Plus the animations will not be there =/ but still.. a man can dream right?

On topic, I think it would be a bad idea to let the pets be supernaturals. I also don't think it very likely that EA will go to that kind of effort. Think of all the extra coding and animations involved. That's not to say my Head Vampire won't have a guard dog he names Hellhound or something, but that's different.
