The pictures themselves are still there - only the "reference" to them is missing (the bit that starts with MTS....). At some point today I'll be running a script to recreate all missing references to fix these all up, but it's entirely possibly some inline ones might need changing depending on if the username has a space in it or not.

It wasn't a question of "changing" anything - it just so happens that the folder structure on the new server is different than the old, and thus, all the symlinks got busted. I am aware of the issue, and will rectify it soon, you just have to be patient please. I'm using my vacation time to fix the site and all these issues and I'm gonna need a vacation after this

I have this issue, too, on almost all my downloads, so it's good to know that the images haven't actually been deleted and that it will be fixed. For a while, I was worried I'd have to reupload every singe picture, and the thought did NOT make me happy.

Okay MOST images should be fixed. For some bizarre reason that I have yet to figure out, though, some of the older symlinks had lowercase for the names (like nixnivis), but when I regenerate them I obviously use uppercase... which basically results in broken images. This mostly affects inline images and some default thumbnails. |

All my pictures are back to normal now, too, and I'm a happy Nix. Thank you, Delphy! Edit: Delphy, re the uppercase/lowercase, my old username was actually nixnivis - the capital Ns are a fairly recent change. Could the old symlinks simply have been using my old name? (Of course, it doesn't explain anything where users who haven't had their names changed are concerned, but in my case it actually makes a little sense. )

NixNivis, ahh I didn't spot you'd had a nick change. Yes, the old symlinks wouldn't have been changed, but when I regenereted them all I removed the old ones and re-did them, hence why they changed now... |
