Not talking about only writing, or speaking, or reading, or listening. but all of them. So, how many of yours? I can do only 2 languages, English and Indonesian (or Bahasa). I can read other languages a little bit (Japanese), but if you ask me to write in Japanese, I'll be fainted for 1 year. |

Four: English, French, German and Italian though my German and Italian are definitely ropey and I need to practice my French (no opportunity at the moment). |

English fluently for reading, writing, speaking, and listening. Spanish for listening and speaking (not fluently though). Japanese somewhat (not fluently at all) for reading (only a little bit for listening and the rest). Simlish for listening and singing. Quite a few varieties of programming languages for reading and writing. |

I'm fluent in both Swedish and English (reading, writing, speaking, listening) but Swedish is my first language. I can read more Spanish than I can write or speak these days, I just keep forgetting what things are called but when I see them on paper I still remember most of it. I'm pretty good at reading German and get the gist of it, the same with listening. I'm just not that great at speaking or writing German. Not because of the pronunciation, I've got that down (and the spelling too). It's the grammar that's holding me up. Too complicated. I can speak basic-intermediate Icelandic, I can read basic-intermediate Icelandic and I can understand basic-intermediate Icelandic when I hear it spoken but I can't write Icelandic at all. I lived in Iceland for five months back in 2007 but never took any classes so I learned by listening only. I can read Danish and Norwegian almost perfectly (since I'm Scandinavian). When spoken, I understand about 90% of Norwegian but only about 10% of Danish though. Since I can read Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, English and (some) German, I can also read (some) Dutch. And since I can also read (some) Icelandic, I can also read (some) Faroese. |

I completely suck at my first language. Actually, I cannot comprehend half of the words that my own parents speak in their native language!
