I have a large main family that I play. My couple had three female triplets, two sons, and one other daughter. They eventually grew to be young adults, and I had one son move out into his own home [not making it the active household] and one daughter move into a separate house.

Anyway, I forgot about those two for a while until one day I was looking at my family tree and realized that the son I moved to his own home had a baby named Lincoln. It was pretty shocking. The child had no mother on the family tree or anything. I decided to have a family member visit the son.

The family member waited a while until someone answered the door. No one did, but an elder townie named Trinity Love walked up to the house from the street and then unlocked the door for my Sim. Apparently the son got roommates? Also, the baby Lincoln was not in a crib, but LAYING ON THE FLOOR NEXT TO THE FRONT DOOR UNATTENDED. LOL

At that point I started thinking that my estranged son had a gay elder boyfriend and adopted a kid with him, but if that was the case they would show up on the family tree together. Then another elder appeared...Trinity's girlfriend. I nixed the boyfriend idea. But where was the son? Soon after he showed up, chatting to the family member unenthusiastically.

Then all of a sudden, Bella Bachelor waltzed into the house like she owned it. Bella Bachelor previously married the eldest son of my family, but was kicked out of the house for CHEATING on him with the father of the family and giving birth to his love child. My mouth literally dropped irl when she waltzed over and kissed our youngest son. Apparently they live together, and Bella also still has her married name [my family's last name.] So now she's been with 3 male members of the same family! All on StoryProgression. [well really I influenced the first relationship and affair.]

While I was there, she ignored the crying baby on the floor and plugged her ears, walking away from it. I was about to have my Sim change the baby's diaper and then he got kicked out for "behaving inappropriately" to his ex-wife who has a crazy lovechild with his father and never even bothers to see it.

A couple days after that, I got a notification. "Christopher Lee is in mourning because Lincoln Lee is dead, ect." Whatttt?? I looked at the family tree. Lincoln's thumbnail takes longer to load than the other thumbnails, and it shows him as a toddler, but the thumbnail is not greyed out like a deceased person's. Whenever I visit the home, there was no trace of a child being there, but I notice they bought two single beds. How wacky is that?

That's a crazy story man/ma'am. I don't have the Story Progression mod, I have Awesomemod instead so nothing very interesting happens with the Sims of my town as it is. I have never seen a toddler die before. Usually they will just wail until the social services show up and magically whisk them off to "no game land" where they don't exist anymore (not that I've let that happen to any of my toddlers of course. Outside of unsaved experimentation anyway).

It sounds like you have some crazy soap opera drama going on in your game. Perhaps an unknown assailant murdered the tot out of jealously. EGADS!

Ooh interesting story! Where is Jerry Springer when you need him! Sorry about lil' Lincoln though .... I know it's only pixels but I still hate that kinda thing happening to the little sims ..

Yes. One of my toddlers died when playing another household and for the first and only time, it was clearly DEAD. Sometimes when random kids "move away" or whatever, their thumbnail in the family tree stays colored. This toddler's box was grayed out.

Damn, now that was a Sims soap opera if I ever heard one!
