Okay, so I'm trying to turn the white basegame bra into a tank top just for practice, but there seems to be something wrong with my alpha (even though I just edited it so the bottom of the bra was longer, I haven't even gotten to the textures yet). The only thing I've replaced is the base texture line, visible on the screenshots. ![]() ![]() Usually I would try to work it out by myself, but I don't know what I've done wrong here. I didn't move the alpha at all and I exported the file with all alphas intact. Yet it shows up like this in the CTU. This is my first try attempting to make clothing in Sims 3... I did it a lot in Sims 2 but this is really complicated... and I can't find a all together 100% guide so I'm trying to piece knowledge together from the CTU manual and little guides around the internets. |

You had to of moved the alpha and texture over, show a screen shot of the texture file you changed. |

Oh, I see. Somehow when I saved the .dds it cut the image in half. I'm going to try it with a restored texture. I think I know what's going on. I didn't check "generate mipmaps" in the image export. Oh well, at least people can see this thread and know not to do that now. Sorry for wasting your time, omegastarr. In short: don't use the already existing MIPs when saving a dds file... create/generate new ones. |
