Hello everyone, well just a simple question i know about the "Story Progression" bar, but how "good" is the AI in this game ? I mean lets say a female npc sim has a baby but she lives in a "small" house and "needs" to buy a Bed or a Crib will she do that (Well seem kinda hard since you also have to change some furniture around....)
Well Thank you for your Time.

Answer: The default story progression does not do anything of these things. AwesomeMod's story progression will actually respond to such pressures, while EA's engine is mostly just a generator of invisible random occurrence not tied together by any kind of sense or logic. For obvious reasons, a computer cannot figure out how to place furniture or expand a house.

Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I cannot accept, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of those I had to kill because they pissed me off.

Well, for instance, if a sim is overcrowded in a house, they will tend to move to a bigger house if they can afford it. If a sim has no job and runs low on money, they will get a job, and generally pick moves in accordance with their LTWs. In contrast, EAxian Story Progression just does random, incomprehensible stuff: Sims with no mates somehow manage to spawn kids out of the ether, random people who don't know each other are randomly stuffed into the same house, etc. What's more, you never actually see any of this stuff, and things can just suddenly HAPPEN even when you are explicitly watching them NOT happen.

Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I cannot accept, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of those I had to kill because they pissed me off.

NPCs can't buy or change furniture, because there's no way in hell a computer could figure out how to do something like that in a non-retarded way. They will instead relocate to houses where the equipment is believed to be more suitable.
