So here's what's happening, I load main menu just fine, can go into my town just fine and can go into CAS just fine. I can stay in ANY of those 3 as long as I want with no problem. I can even go into a lot and stay there.....as long as it's paused. BUT as soon as I unpause the game I have about 2.2 seconds before the screen goes foggy and the "sims 3 has stopped working" box pops up.

Things I have done to try and fix it:
1)Deleted my cache files
2)Removed mods folder AND DCBackup
3)Renamed my Sims 3 folder and generated a new one

Tried loading the game after each thing with the same results

IF possible I'd like to fix this problem WITHOUT having to re-install because my cd/dvd drive has stopped working and I'm not sure how I could go about re-installing the game

Still getting crashes with new user folders?

Done DEP changes? Are you starting via Launcher? Do you have the Create-A-Pet Demo?

Apply the DEP changes to ts3w.exe and use that to start the game instead of Launcher. Guides in

I had the CAP Demo installed, and even after un-installing it my game kept crashing, BUT I rolled back my system to a few days before and it seemed to fix it

P.S. Sorry for taking so long to reply, my internet stopped working and it took me almost 2 days to fix it
