They all look to be the same thing, so you can just delete the ones you don't want to keep.

From experience if Windows Explorer can't show a thumbnail, almost usually the image is broken. And deleting them may be the only solution. Well since they won't work anyway. Do they? Can they be opened? In WMP/Gimp/Photoshop/Paint/whatever. Or Previewed in WMP? If they can and not broken in some manner, there are other Image viewers that you may want to download and try. Off the top of my head IrfanView and Picasa comes to mind. I think they are still free. Or...maybe, it is the Sims 3/Screenshots/ folder that is busted? Copy a bunch of the files elsewhere? Do the thumbnails work then?

If I have photoshop opened and choose to open a pic in the screenshot file like this; In the area where I can see all the pics they all look the same, but when I click on one of them I can see below where I click open, I can see what it is. So it's very easy to see in photoshop, I can just scroll through them, but It would be easier to just see them at once. It's just a bit silly to have open photoshop just to be able to select files to open somewhere else. It's like on of those games on tele where you can only see one picture at a time, and have to find 2 of the same. Only there's no reward involved. I was just hoping if was some easy silly box to tick or something. They are jpeg image, are they suppose to be jpeg?

Mkay, if Photoshop can open and you've confirm the images themselves are OK, then we can proceed on to getting the thumbnails corrected. Which is why I asked to test with another application, to see if the thumbnails can be viewed in something other than Windows Explorer, and confirm the diagnosis. So, if we're not doing that, then to jump right into correcting the thumbnails' database cache, do this: Go to "Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Explorer\" delete all files that have .db in the filenames. Again, if you're not viewing extensions, enable that first: Game_Help:DFDD3_Identify_File_Type#Show_File_Extensions^wiki in the Screenshot folder itself, also locate and delete the Thumbs.db, if it exists Screenshots

So I know the images are ok. I fixed extentions earlier. I have nothing but screenshot # in my screenshot file. I can't delete those cache in the explorer because the explorer is already opened. How do I go around that problem?

So thanks very much for that. I though I may have been ticking a box I shouldn't tick when I fixed the file extensions, and it seems I did. Why can't all the globe use one written language? That would make things so much easier. Well as long as it's not my language going extinct Thank you all
