 See Through Graphics w/ Anti-Aliasing

I recently got a new laptop and noticed that although the performance was a lot better than my previous laptop, the graphics didn't look very good. The game defaulted to the highest settings except smooth edges was grayed out. When I enable anti-aliasing on my graphics card it makes it look really good but my sims and a lot of the objects go see through. Why can't I have both good graphics and be able to see my sims and objects properly? Also, when I move my mouse around the sims and objects become solid and look like they should but as soon I stop moving my mouse it flashes back to see through. It does this in neighborhood view too and the water flashes white and blue and has choppy edges. I believe that your graphics chip is not as good as you believe it is. You might want to read this: http://simswiki.info/wiki.php?title...nboard_Graphics It really sounds like your graphics card can't handle all of the options at once. Experiment a bit to find a set of options which produces the best results. But, keep in mind that you may be destroying your computer if you have your options too high. |

It's also possible that you have switchable graphics, so your dxdiag isn't showing your good graphics card. Please check your receipt/manual/whatever and post the model of the switchable card, if you do have one.

I don't think this is the case. I read the information on the link you posted. I don't have just onboard graphics. I have switchable graphics and I've set my computer to use my Radeon (TM) 6770M graphics for the sims 2. |
