I found this on another website and decided to post it here. A lot of people were having issues with wild pets (especially horses) not coming to their lots, etc.

By utilizing your pets Lifetime Rewards you can make life much easier on yourself when having a pet. I know I didn't even think about until recently. I was too busy looking at all the pretty horses!

Sim Lifetime Rewards

Raised By Wolves (15,000):
Gain more social fulfillment from interacting with pets. This will double the amount of social need filled by playing with pets. This doesn't apply to small animals, but the large ones like cats, dogs and horses.

Animal Expert (25,000):
Can't seem to ever get tired of your pets? This reward makes it so dogs, cats, and horses live much longer lives. Pets kept in a terrarium and birds are also less likely to die. The effect on an animal's life span seems to be about 50%. This reward isn't great, given you have great control over life spans in the game options menu, but it will give you a longer time frame in order to afford Lifetime Happiness points for pets, so that you can afford the Pet Young Again Lifetime Reward, which is the only way to keep them alive forever without disabling aging.

Collection Helper (40,000):
This reward has been upgraded to track birds, snakes, rodents, turtles, and lizards so it is even more powerful for the price.

Horse Lifetime Rewards

Fearless Foals (2,500):
Foals can venture away from their mother's grasp without feeling sad or lonely. This will help your foals to keep a good mood when mother is away, so that lifetime happiness keeps increasing.

Friend of the Herd (4,000):
Be the most popular horse in town. Wild horses are often attracted to your home lot. This will go a long way toward helping you to befriend wild horses. One of the big annoyances with them is following them around, all over town, in the early stages of the relationship.

Atomic Grazer (4,000):
Gain the ability to graze on any type of surface. No matter where the horse is, it can satisfy hunger!

Steel Bladder for Pets (4,000):
Never again worry about those fretful accidents. Pets with Steel Bladders lose the urge to pee. This means less time taking care of bladder, and more time training. Given the rate other horse needs can decline this will take a little load off you.

Lucky Mount (4,000):
Rider of this horse are often showered with good luck.

Gardener's Delight (5,000):
Make your box stalls as eco-friendly as possible. Fertilizer from box stalls used by this horse is always of the highest quality. This will ensure your plants reach maturity as fast as possible.

Beloved Animal (5,000):
Your pet gains more social fulfillment from interacting with humans. This will be helpful to Sims dealing with multiple horses, but it's not as useful as other horse lifetime rewards.

Desert Pony (5,000):
An ability often taught in the arid lands of Al Simhara but can now be bestowed upon your horse. Quenching your horse's thirst will occur less often. Thirst is one of the more annoying needs for horses, so this is a great reward to choose.

Equine Zen (6,000):
Your horse will be able to channel its inner strength more efficiently. With this reward exercise motives refill much faster.

Attitude Adjustment (7,500):
Have you ever wondered how your favorite pet would be if they were loud instead of quiet, or neat instead of piggy? Go ahead and choose new traits for you pet. This is a very helpful award if your Pet has particularly annoying traits, or you have a beautiful horse that you wish had great racing traits.

Super Smart Pet (7,500):
Your pet becomes super smart and can learn skills much faster while making praising and scolding much more effective. If you want to raise a pet's skills quickly and sell it off, this is probably a good LTR choice.

Celestial Salt Lick (10,000):
A little taste of paradise disguised in the form of a sparkling salt lick. It refills both hunger and thirst.

Self Cleaning Box Stall (12,500):
Every pet deserves a clean place to live. Give your horse a box stall that never needs to be cleaned. This will save your Sim some time, but skip this if you want the fertilizer you'd get from cleaning a stall.

Clone Voucher for Pets (15,000):
The Pet that purchases this reward gets a Cone Voucher. Redeem it at the Science Facility to have a young clone of you Pet join your household! You cannot purchase this reward if your household is full. As with Sims, a clone should grow up to look like the original horse, and will have their traits.

Young Again Potion for Pets (20,000):
This potion will magically turn back the time on your pet's life. Here's to starting over! This is pretty important if you want your horse to be immortal without tinkering with aging settings for all animals. Unicorns live a really long time, so you would get a lot of utility out of this!

Cat and Dog Lifetime Rewards

Vomit Machine (1,500):
Here's a great way to get your owner's attention. Gain the ability to vomit at will.

Best Behavior (2,500):
Save your furniture! Save your house! This reward will make it so your pet will never scratch or bite furniture, roll in puddles, or get into the trash and kitty litter...of course unless you really want them to. This can save you a lot of time training away those habits.

Never Nauseous (2,500):
Pets become immune from getting nauseous and vomiting. They can eat all the trash and rotten food they want without feeling ill effects!

Steel Bladder for Pets (4,000):
Never again worry about those fretful accidents. Pets with Steel Bladders lose the urge to pee. This can save you a little time, but this reward isn't as useful for pets as it is for a Sim.

Fertility Treatment for Pets (5,000):
Puppies and kittens galore! This guarantees large litters for you pet. If you love 'em, you can have plenty with this reward!

Beloved Animal (5,000):
Your pet gains more social fulfillment from interacting with humans.

Attitude Adjustment (7,500):
Have you ever wondered how your favorite pet would be if they were loud instead of quiet, or neat instead of piggy? Go ahead and choose new traits for you pet.

Alpha Pet (7,500):
Your pet is gifted with heightened senses when searching for prey or collectibles. Results from hunting are greatly improved. Cats and dogs bring one skill to the table, and that's hunting. This makes them better at it, so should be a top pick for any pet that pursues the skill!

Super Smart Pet (7,500):
Your pet becomes super smart and can learn skills much faster while making praising and scolding much more effective. This is pretty expensive when dogs and cats have one skill, and it competes with the ability to customize the pet's traits.

Super Swank Pet Bed (10,000):
A really swank pet bed, so your pet can sleep in style.

Pet Hygienator (10,000):
Landgraab Industries' latest solution in high technology pet hygiene. Use it to keep you dogs and cats squeaky clean and free from fleas. Prevents fleas, cures fleas, and gives a long 8 hour +5 moodlet after a wash. This is a great reward if you have multiple cats or dogs.

Clone Voucher for Pets (15,000):
The Pet that purchases this reward gets a Cone Voucher. Redeem it at the Science Facility to have a young clone of you Pet join your household! You cannot purchase this reward if your household is full.

Bottomless Pet Bowl (15,000):
Give your pet a pet bowl that provides high quality sustenance and never needs refilling. Your Sim will never need to feed them again, so you'll save both money and time. It's a great help to owners of multiple pets.

Young Again Potion for Pets (20,000):
This potion will magically turn back the time on your pet's life.
