For a long time now my Sims 3 game has crashed any time I attempted to play it. Specifically, it has crashed as soon as it begins the loading, right after the intro video. Usually I just give up and switch to the Sims 2, but tonight I decided to get to the bottom of this problem. I found out the crashes were rooted in my Nraas StoryProgression Expansion file, and I promptly deleted it (as well as the associated "extra" file). But while I can now at least load the game without any problems, it crashes YET AGAIN whenever I try to upload a town, including creating a new one. I rechecked the mod's page and it says this:

"The Expanded module is an Interaction Injector mod. BEFORE uninstalling, you must ensure that no sim is performing any of the interactions added by this mod. Failure to do so will bounce the game on load-up.
Use MasterController's "Town \ Reset Everything" to stop all running interactions prior to uninstalling. You can also install ErrorTrap to clean up any custom data after you install."

So now I'm trying to reset everything (I have mastercontroller already), except I can't because I can't enter the game, expanded module installed or not. So this brings me back to my original question: Is it possible to reset all sims outside of the town, or preferably even outside of the game? Or is this even the real problem?

Thank you to anyone who helps! I really just want to get back to playing with my simmies.

Extra info:
-My Sims 3 game is currently up to date.
-All of my NRaas files are up to date.
-I only have the base game installed.
-I have a back-up file if I've already borked everything simply by loading the game without the StoryProgression Expansion file.

Just follow this section of the documentation instead.

oh wow I never expected a response from the actual mod creator! Thank you so much, but sadly the game still crashes at the same points. I checked the script error document and I apparently have nine errors.... A lot of them have to do with mods. Perhaps they're outdated?

EDIT: Fixed! But I had to remove StoryProgression all together. Shame, it was my absolute favorite mod.

I guess I'll continue looking for solutions tomorrow...

What is so special about that ? I answer a lot of questions just like this over at my forum.

Now what is odd is that I am posting over here. In the future if you have issues with my mods, post at my hosting site.

Cheers.
