ages & ages ago I downloaded an Alien default replacement, well one of my Sims gave birth to a gorgeous blue baby named CLive...Clive aged to toddler today, but oddly enough he has kept the blue body but has a green face, does anyone know how to correct this? or has this happened to anyone else?

Maybe the person who created the default replacement skin forgot to paint the skin for toddlers. Wait for him to grow up. Maybe he'll turn into Katy Perry.

Alley Gaytor: cheers for that

okay...Clive has aged to child, but the face is still odd (cute but doesn't match the rest of him). Looking at his family tree I realized I do have a multiple PT mod, but the PT shown is carrying the default skin I downloaded (avatar)...hmmm...any thoughts?

Don't think so - or at least I don't think it's any kind of restriction. If that was me, I'd open the file and have a look at the textures for the baby and toddlers.

Polgannon Project Seriously, I'm still working on it.

I have default alien skin, and on the premades it doesn't show on the face of just Johnny Smith (Politech and Stella are fine) until I take him to the mirror, apply a full face makeup, and take it off again. Might be worth trying.

I'm pretty sure this will do the trick. It's worked a few times for some skin tones I've used in my game. I had to do this with some of my witches to change their green faces into normal skin(I use a replacement skin for evil witches)

Tired of your workers' faces changing after you set a uniform? See this thread for more details and a potential fix.

You can do it two ways:
1. open the package file in SimPE and look at the textures directly - which means you need to be able to use SimPE.
or
2. If you are new at this, the simplest thing to do (though it's a bit of a fiddle round) is to use Bodyshop - that is assuming the skin is visible to Bodyshop. Can you see it in there as an option when you open Bodyshop or CAS? If not, this won't work.

open Bodyshop
go to the create parts side of things
start new project then create genetics
find the skintone, click on it
then select the 'export selected textures' button (bottom left)
let the programme do the extraction
close Bodyshop (not strictly necessary)

Then go to My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Projects

and look for the folder BS just extracted. You can see the textures in there. The baby and toddler texture files begin with b and p respectively. You should be able to see the face file easily enough (as long as you have Windoze Explorer set to show large or medium icons. If you don't want to do anything else with the textures and want to delete the folder, do it from inside Bodyshop.

Polgannon Project Seriously, I'm still working on it.
