It's something that I have been wondering for a while..
Pre-Pets, I was wondering if, when other sims get pregnant and have babies, do they buy their new baby a crib, or toys and what not? I have a mod that tells me what's happening around the neighborhood, so I know when a different sim family gets a newborn, and I rarely see a crib, but sometimes I do and sometimes I don't, it may have already been placed in that house. Now with Pets, unless I play in Appaloosa, there are no Pet related products in any other houses than my Sim's home, but I see these neighborhood pet adoptions still occuring, and I wonder what those pets eat?

But yea, that's what I've been wondering, what to you guys think?

As far as I can tell, the only thing they'll buy autonomously is food, when they fill the food bowls.
I don't believe pets in inactive households eat anything at all if you're not watching them.

Meh.

Sounds like you have Twillians in your game? If so, then currently no, his mod handles all behind the sceen effects except pets atm. We hear that is something he is working on tho

Near as I can tell, they don't buy cribs. That's why you find the baby lying by the front door whenever you go visit a family with a newborn (once, I saw a baby lying in a garden like a cabbage patch doll). Now, if YOU did it, the social worker would be right there, but townies, Noooo.....
