I don't know if this is the right section for this question.
But I downloaded a hair from roddyaleixo (backwards cap).

They state that it doesn't show up for swimwear, pjs, underwear or workout clothing.
(changes to another hair)

And I'm wondering how I can enable it to show up for some of those?
I didn't see a tutorial for it when I searched and googled.

So, if someone could either tell me how or point me in the direction of a tutorial for this, I'd really appreciate it.

I haven't had any problems getting it to show up for outerwear.

But thanks anyways.

I'm not sure if there's an easy way to do this or not. I did it by accident when I made some hats for kids (they ended up wearing them all the time... even to bed!).

Right now, if the game is displaying different hair for swimwear, underwear, etc., then it's being directed to a different mesh. I don't know if there is a way to disconnect that other mesh from the hat mesh, or if you'd have to remove the mesh you don't want. (I don't have SimPE on this machine, so I can't try it out.)

The tool that Mootilda directed you to may have been updated to be able to change hair categories (at least, it looks that way from some of the comments). Why not try it out? It might be a quick and easy fix.

It's actually pretty easy, it's in the Category line in your hair's Property Set. Use my tutorial -> http://www.modthesims.info/showthread.php?t=448540
