Hello. I have not played in a few years and on a whim decided to return. Unfortunately, I had lost my physical copy and got a digital download of the game via the origin site today.

My question is this, if I have the digital download from the afore mentioned website of The Sims 2 instead of the actual physical version installed via disk, will customized mod items such as skins, homes, furniture, sims, clothing etc still work? I greatly appreciate any help that may be given. Thank you for your time.

Yes, you should still be able to use custom content. You just need to make sure to install them into the correct save game folder and to enable custom content in the game.
