Default Performing Arts School Challenge
First, I greatly apologise if this has been done before, or anything similar.

So, you're destined to be a star. But how do you get there? Through years of training, blood, sweat and tears. That's what this school is for-to provide talented teens with the training they need to make it big.

CAS
The first thing you need to do is create your teacher. They can look however you like, but should have the charismatic, athletic and virtuoso traits. It is recommended you max their athletic/charismatic/music skills.
Now, create your students-the number of students should be a multiple of three. If you don’t want to install mods to overstuff your household that’s ok, stick with six students. However, I think it is more challenging (and fun) to have more students. There does not need to be an equal number of girls and boys.
Here you will need to decide which stream each student will be in-music, dance or drama.

MUSIC STUDENTS: Require the virtuoso trait.
DANCE STUDENTS: Require the athletic trait. You should download these leotards by daluved1 for their athletic wear. Dance shoes are available through her profile.
DRAMA STUDENTS: Charismatic trait. Either for their athletic wear or a second everyday outfit, give them drama blacks.

Optional:
Create a caretaker. He will cook the meals, fix anything broken, clean the house and do the laundry.
Create a uniform for your students. For dancers & drama students this may or may not include a school leotard and blacks.

Getting Started
Either delete the school in your neighbourhood, or use mods to get the homeschooling option.
After you build your school, use family funds or buy useless items like trees until you have $40,000.

School
Your school can be as big or as small as you want. Go crazy-there is no money limit, so spend, spend, spend!
Your school MUST have:
  • A dance studio-big room, wooden floors, mirrors on the walls and a decent stereo.
  • Drama studio-at least one mirror for each student, a chair for each drama student and book case
  • Music room-at least one classic instrument (piano, double bass or keyboard) per music student, and one modern one (keyboard, guitar, or drums). You don’t have to assign an instrument to a student-you can swap them between them.
  • Dorms or separate bedrooms for the students. If you choose to have dorms, girls and boys cannot sleep in the same room.
  • A separate bedroom for the teacher
OPTIONAL
  • A study room/library with computers and bookshelves
  • A gymnasium with fitness equipment and/or pool
Classtime!
Each stream has six lessons which take place simultaneously.
As performers, they are expected to have a little training in each discipline, though of course they only focus on one.
Classes offered are:
Ballet: Dancing to classical music.
Charisma: building up charisma skill with mirrors
Classical (Music): Playing piano, keyboard or base.
Fitness: building up fitness skill, either in the gymnasium or with the stereo
Music Theory: Reading the following books- The Crumplebottom Legacy, GPod, Still Cool, Llama Rights, On the Margins, Thunking, A Guide to Desert Stick Pokey, Fishing for the Moon, Ra! Ra! Ra!, The Dragon’s Age, The Dragon’s Ripple, The Sand Mirage and any sheet music.
Contemporary (Dance): dancing to anything but classical or kids music.
Contemporary (Music) : Playing the guitar, drums or keyboard.
Socialisation: Celebrity status depends on being able to talk to people-so that’s what this class is for. Sims pretty much talk to each other for the entire class.
Pas de Deux: Sims dance with each other to classical music
Instrument of choice: what it sounds like. Sims play any instrument.
Play Writing: Sims write ‘plays’ (novels) on the computer.
Theatre Study: reading the following books: A Magnetic Attraction, The Adventures of Raymundo, Commitment Issues, Exit at Powell, Game of Thorns, Murder In Pleasantview, Point Farmer: the Story of Grant Rodiek, The Point of Pointilism. The Warlock of Palladia, Advanced Facial Expressions, That’s a Wrap, The Legend of Queen Nozilla and King Nayr, The Sand Mirage

Timetabling
This is the timetable I used-you are free to change it, but do not schedule two classes in the same room at the same time.
DANCE
1 Ballet
2 Fitness
3 Charisma
4 Contemporary
5 Pas de Deux
6 Instrument of Choice

DRAMA
1 Instrument of Choice
2 Charisma
3 Ballet
4 Socialisation
5 Play Writing
6 Theatre Studies

MUSIC
1 Charisma
2 Music Theory
3 Classical
4 Contemporary
5 Instrument of Choice
6 Ballet

School Day
6:00-Breakfast is served
9:00- Class 1
10:00-Class 2
11:00-Class 3
12:00-Break
1:30-Class 4
2:30-Class 5
3:30-Class 6
4:30-Study*
5:45-Dinner is served
11:00-Bedtime.

*Study means reading, doing homework (if you use the homeschooling mod), any skillbuilding that isn’t athletic, charisma or music.
Breakfast and dinner is prepared half an hour before serving by a selected student (of course, you can always serve leftovers.)

Payday
Each Friday, the household gets $250 per student.
OPTIONAL: Each student gets $5 allowance a day (tally this on paper) which goes in to a ‘student pool’-so each student does not have their own balance, but rather all the allowances go into the pool. This money can go to dorm decoration or anything the students want.

Weekends
There are no classes on weekends. Students are allowed to leave campus without a teacher, however there is a seven o’clock curfew (missing this curfew will result in detention).

School Rules:
No romantic relationships between students.
Music students are not allowed to busk outside of school.
No leaving school grounds without a teacher on weekdays.
No fights.
No skipping class.
If (and only if) a teacher catches anyone breaking these rules, the student(s) will receive detention. Of course, if a teacher DOESN’T catch you, nothing happens.

Detention:
If a student breaks a rule they are to be locked in their room from 9:00 to 5:30. They cannot use a tv, book or other entertainment. If a student breaks a rule after receiving detention they will be expelled and kicked out.

Birthdays:
When the teens reach adulthood, they are moved out. You can choose to replace them or not (see below).

Ending the Challenge
You can either play this game as a one generation challenge, in which it ends when the last teen moves out, or over several generations.
If you choose the latter, when a sim moves out, a new teen moves in (not sure if this can be achieved without mods/hacks). That sim MUST take the place of the old student-for example, if a drama student leaves, the new teen must be a drama student.
One student will become a teacher when they reach adulthood, and take over completely when the previous becomes an elder.

Alternative or Additional Streams
If you want to make the challenge harder, or you don’t like one of the above streams, you can select one of these:
Classes Musical Theatre
1 Jazz Dance
2 Instrument of Choice
3 Charisma
4 Ballet
5 Classical Music
6 Theatre Studies

Prop and Costume Design

1 Classical Music
2 Painting
3 Sculpting
4 Theatre Studies
5 Using Draft Table
6 Writing

Scoring
+10 for each student
+5 for any of the following: school uniform, uniform leotard, uniform drama blacks, uniform pyjamas and uniform swimming costume
+1 for every skill point (not including teacher)
+ 20 if you have more than three classes
+15 for a library
+20 if you have a student pool and +5 for every item they buy
+15 for a gymnasium
-10 for detention
-5 if you create a caretaker
-15 for expulsion
Sorry, I'm not a fan of scoring, and I suck at coming up with them. So you can always write your own. Feel free not to use scoring.

I started this challenge today. It's very fun. Currently I have three drama students, two dance students and two music students. After the first generation is through I'm planning on adding musical theatre and costume design/prop design students.

I have an idea for a school challenge. It's called The School Challenge.
-READ CAREFULLY
-START WITH FOUR SIMS (IN YOUR HOUSEHOLD)
-ONE OF THESE SIMS WILL BE A READING TEACHER, ONE WILL BE AN ART TEACHER, ONE WILL BE A COMPUTER TEACHER, AND THE OTHER WILL BE A COOKING TEACHER
-BUILD A LOT THAT LOOKS LIKE A SCHOOL
-IT WILL NEED A LIBRARY, A READING ROOM, AN ART ROOM, A COMPUTER ROOM, A STUDY ROOM, BED ROOMS, BATHROOMS, A KITCHEN, AND A LEARNING KITCHEN
-ADOPT FOUR CHILDREN! MAKE SURE THEY ARE CHILDREN. NOT TODDLERS OR BABIES. JUST CHILDREN.
THEY WILL GO TO NORMAL SCHOOL.
-AFTER NORMAL SCHOOL THEY COME HOME AND DO THEIR HOME SCHOOL.
-COOKING CLASSES ARE ONLY FOR TEENS

downloading the dance studio from the Sims 3 store would go so well with this. i have it and love it. It has a proper dance floor for ballet and Sims can dance with a partner and there is also a ballet barre and dance clothes. It sounds like a fun challenge

so i have finally created my family and I will (hopefully) be uploading photos of my sims once I get the chance to!

Teacher: Belle Thurnau (named after my freshman English teacher, hah!)
-Traits: Charismatic, Athletic, Virtuoso, Hates Children and Natural Cook. Belle has always hated children ever since her baby sister, Naomi, was born, though she feels a strong need to educate teens in the performing arts. She built up her Performing Arts School from scratch from a large sum of inheritance from her Great Aunt and is awaiting the arrival of her first batch of children to take care of.

Student #1 : Charlotte Rosenthal (twin of Heidi)
-Department: Drama
-Traits Charismatic, Friendly, Good, and Vegetrarian. Charlotte is a much better person than her twin sister, Heidi, due to the amount of affection she got from her parents during her childhood compared to that of her sister. In other words, her parents preferred Charlotte to Heidi.

Student #2: Joseph Brooks (Charlotte's best friend since childhood)
-Department: Drama
-Traits: Shy, Charismatic, Friendly, and Clumsy. Charlotte and Joseph have been best friends since they could walk and talk, and Charlotte is one of the main reasons why Joseph is pursuing his dream to climb the ranks of the celebrities (he wants to be an actor). Though he is best friends with Charlotte, he is swooning over her twin sister.

Student #3: Heidi Rosenthal (Charlotte's twin)
-Department: Dance
-Traits: Athletic, Mean-Spirited, Snob, and Genius. Due to a rather hard childhood by being an outcast with classmates and even her own parents and family, she has turned into a rather bitter person. Despite her qualities of being a genius, she still strives for the love of her sisters, but more importantly, her parents.

Student #4: William McIntosh (brother of Edward)
-Department: Music
-Traits: Virtuoso, Hopeless Romantic, Flirty, and Great Kisser. Not much to say about William except he feels as if he's in an unending competition with his brother, Edward, though they are very close siblings.

Student #5: Edward McIntosh (William's brother)
-Department: Music
Traits: Virtuoso, Shy, Loner, and Friendly. Despite his traits of being a shy, lone person, he wants to follow in his older brother's footsteps of being a world renowned musician. Edward is the mind who thought of the idea of him and his brother coming to live in the Performing Arts School and his brother quickly agreed that it was a good idea.

Student #6: Linda Scheibel
-Department: Drama
-Traits: Charismatic, Ambitious, Loves the Outdoors, and Brave. After her mother's death, Linda's father has sent her away to the Performing Arts School in order for him to grieve in silence while being alone and heart broken. Though Linda was sort of forced her upon her own will to come to the school, she has great intentions of befriending her other classmates and becoming someone her mother would be proud of. Linda also hopes to take the school into her own hands when Belle becomes an elder and therefore too old to continue her work in the education field,

I really hope I have fun with this challenge! It gives me something fun to do when I'm not impregnating all the male sims in Bridgeport xD
