As the title says.I was gonna look at the pictures i took in Pleasantview. But i accidentally changed the place of the Characters file.I put it into Thumbnails. Then i entered the game.I picked Pleasantview but there were no family.I understood that the mistake i did led a problem. Then i copied the file from the thumbnails and pasted it in N001.Then it did work but everyone was adult males with their bodies remaining the same,no one was relatives, everyone forget their relationships and memories.I took some pictures then didnt save the game. Then i went back to the N001 file and there i deleted the Characters file and moved the characters file which i accidentally moved.I tried to play the game again but they were again all adult males-i could understand it from their voice-,their personality bars were all empty and all that i told before.

How can i fix this?

NOTE:I have InTeenimater and it can make conflicts in the game. But it didnt do any harm for the time i had been playing.

I´m afraid you will have to reset the ´hood. Or, if you have a back-up, you can restore from it. Your current version of the ´hood is probably totally corrupt. A link to info about how to reset a ´hood: http://hideki.modthesims2.com/wiki....t_Neighborhoods

You are welcome . Unfortunately this game has lots of problems and it´s easy to screw things up. So it´s a good idea to regulary back up your game files. If you have played a neighborhood for a long time and accidentally do something wrong it is extremely painful to have no other options but to trash the ´hood - been there done that. But if you have a back up you can always restore from it instead of trashing the ´hood.

You can make a copy of the neighbourhood folder (I also make a copy of my Downloads folder) and save it elsewhere. If anything goes wrong, you can delete the corrupted folder and put the copy back in your game. I make a back up about once a week if I'm playing regularly.

I'm a bit annoyed with myself about this right now actually since I want to go backwards in time in my neighbourhood to do something in a different way and my last back up is from October! Annoying.

Polgannon Project Seriously, I'm still working on it.

I make a backup once per rotation (more often if something major has happened) and install CC in between rotations; also, always backup before adding a new SP! And keep it in a separate space, so as not to get confused; on an external source is really safest, in case your hard drive crashes. Which it will certainly do eventually.

All you can do is the best you can do.

Oh don't say that Peni! I'm hoping this hard drive will do on forever (in fact, much as my other hard drives have). When I say forever, of course, I mean until I buy a new rig which won't be for some time yet. I tell you what though, about stuff happening with inevitability, it amazes me just how much your peripheral stuff gets dirty - this screen is filthy. I've been playing Mass Effect and wondering why the present Shepard's face is all spotty. And I never look too closely at my keyboard.

Sounds like my lappy! I do tend to give the screen a quick dust and get rid of what I can see on the keyboard, but unless a key gets stuck (I had oodles of trouble with the "3" key not registering when I pressed it) I pretty much ignore how filthy it is!

No need to use my full name, "Selly" will do just fine.

I have a little brush that I use to dig cat hair out of the keyboard with during loading screens. And I dust the screen when I dust the room, theoretically once a week.

We hate upgrading, so I'm afraid we generally put it off till a crash forces one on us.

I didn't make a backup so I guess this is a goodbye to all my games in Pleasantview. Now I know what to do after each important thing I did in the game. :p
