I'm new here guys trying to figure stuff out to help my wife. we installed pets on her pc and with the sheer amount of mods shes got the game is running slow I'm told I can compress her files but would that work the same way as regular compression or is it different? also this forum is extremely confusing

If the problem really is the amount of CC, she could also try Granthes's CC Magic (link in my sig). Does the same thing as the fix described in the link above, but automates it and lets you still manage individual CC items.

There may be other issues though. Pets adds a lot to the hardware demands on your computer, particularly the graphics. And there are routing issues with some world files, including Appaloosa Plains, that can lead to hangs. Can you describe exactly what kind of slowdown she's getting?
